Handy Helpers provide professional maintenance and cleaning services at affordable rates, for older people living in the areas of Dublin 5, 13, 17, 3 and 9. We believe our services provide peace of mind for our service users, while also improving their quality of life and enhancing the comfort of their home. We offer a range of services at affordable rates, which includes:
• Home maintenance needs

assessments
• Security needs assessments
• Referrals from family members, statutory agencies (HSE) and NGO’s (Simon, Saint Vincent DePaul)
• Project Management – We offer Project Management support, working with contractors and other services to advocate on your behalf and ensure the job is carried out to the highest standard.
• Guidance and support on obtaining grants
• Home Maintenance – All types of jobs considered
• Cleaning
• Decluttering
• Carpentry
• Moving/Removal of Furniture
• Grab Rails
• Social Alarms
• Painting
• Decorating
• Flooring
• Gardening

Handy Helpers is a not-for-profit service, which specialises in working with older people to identify their needs to ensure they can continue to live in a safe, comfortable and happy home for as long as possible. Whether it is general home maintenance, cleaning or security assessments, we have a team of people who are experienced, qualified and Garda Vetted to ensure their suitability to work with older people and to deliver these services. We can assist with Project Management or direct service provision, depending on the type of work. Handy Helpers is a unique service due to the fact that it can link the customer to many other essential services, which can help enhance their lives, all operating from within the same area. Handy Helpers accepts referrals from family members, statutory agencies and NGO’s (Simon, St. We provide free quotations with no obligation to use the service should you decide not to. Our priority is the safety and comfort of our service users and ensuring that all work carried out in the homes of older people is completed to the highest standard.

It was a pleasure for the Handy Helpers team to attend the One Stop Shop -Information Event for Over 55s held in St. Gabriel’s Parish Centre, Clontarf.

The event brought together a wide range of organisations, services, supports, and volunteering opportunities aimed at enhancing the wellbeing, independence, and community engagement of older adults.

As a not-for-profit social enterprise, Handy Helpers was delighted to meet attendees, share information about our home maintenance and support services, and connect with other organisations supporting older people across Dublin.

A big thank you to the organisers for hosting such a positive and informative community event.
