Few FAQs and answers that may help you with choosing our service:
What type of locks on french doors and windows ?.. French doors come standard with a 'LOCKMASTER' double hook/anti lift/roller cam/shootbolt lock with 2 active handles.
Windows are fitted with multi point espag lock and locking handle as standard, you can upgrade this to include shootbolts.

Do you include permanent ventilation?..Permavents or Trickle vents are not fitted as standard as not all customers require them however they are available. NB The espag lock/receiver has a venting facility.

On guarantees - how long for parts from Spectus? From yourselves for labour in fitting replacement parts?..Windows manufactured using the Spectus profile/specification have a 10 yr guarantee, 1 yr on hardware... handles hinges locks etc. these items are readily available.Also fitting price including one free service within one year.


Are joints welded on all windows in our schedule?..All joints are welded in all windows except the cill on the vertical sliders which have to be mechanically joined because of the contours.


How does the Spectus profile product compare with well established Irish brands ?..Windows manufactured using Spectus profile/specification have the advantage of being 1 of only 4 profile systems to be specified by the department of education. Mr Michael who is the owner is in the window industry for the past 45 years and produces a product using only the
highest grade materials that not only compares to other windows/companies but surpasses most of them.

And the glass?..All windows are internally glazed.
..Windows are fitted with 28mm Low E Argon gas filled double glazed units 24mm in vertical sliders and can be upgraded to suit a clients requirements.Double glazed units are guaranteed for 10yrs, a written guarantee specific to your job can be arranged.

ROMA steel doors are manufactured in two versions:
• STANDARD version is used in particular for flat entrance doors in apartment buildings. The doors consist of a leaf filled with thermally insulating material and metal door frame made of zinc-coated steel sheet.
• PREMIUM version is used in particular for entrance doors in single family houses. The door leaf is filled with a stiff thermally insulating core which prevents frost pe*******on. Metal and wood door frame prevents against thermal bridges.
In both versions the door leaf casing and the frame are made of zinc-coated steel sheet coated with decorative PVC laminate to meet the aesthetical requirements of the most demanding customers and to guarantee long-term use of the doors.

Granit anti-theft doors are used as apartment entrance doors (access from the staircase). We offer two types of Granite doors:
• type I with burglary resistance class“C”and Acoustic Insulation Rw = 32 dB
• type II with burglary resistance class“C”, Acoustic Insulation Rw = 32 dB and additional fire resistance of 30 min (EI 30 and F 0,5)
The Granit doors have the highest anti-theft class "C".
