This project is a contemporary design, featuring a two-storey side extension and a single-storey rear extension on a prominent corner site with a south-facing garden. The design focuses on creating a spacious, light-filled open-plan family living space, carefully oriented to maximise daylight and establish strong visual and physical connections with the external landscape. A continuous wraparound canopy is incorporated as an integral architectural element, providing effective solar control while defining a sheltered, flexible outdoor living area for year-round.

Recently completed in Sandymount - A single-storey rear extension to a 1930's dwelling, designed to form an open-plan kitchen and dining area that integrates seamlessly with the existing living spaces. The proposal establishes a clear dialogue between the historic fabric and contemporary intervention, blending traditional character with modern functionality. A raised ceiling incorporating high level windows and rooflights introduces abundant natural light, enhancing the sense of volume and spatial quality. Full-height sliding doors to the kitchen and bifold doors to the dining area offer flexible connections to the external terrace, fostering a strong visual and physical relationship between the interior and the garden.

Handover day in Drumcondra today……… A single- and two-storey rear extension to a home in Drumcondra, the design forms an L-shaped open-plan kitchen, living, and dining area that maintains a seamless connection to the garden. Generous visual links frame views of the mature landscape, while carefully placed roof lights and windows fill the interior with natural light, creating bright and spacious rooms. A recessed outdoor window seat extends the living space outward, blurring the boundary between inside and outside.
