Delighted to show these beautiful photos of a very comprehensive Deep Retrofit project we designed for a young family.
A terraced house dating from the late 1800βs, it was in need of complete upgrade. We replaced the rear return on the house with a white brick and standing-seam zinc roof extension, doubling it in size.
Small courtyards form important lightwells which, together with large linear rooflights, bring light deep into the middle of the north facing rear of the home.
Now highly insulated and airtight to a level of q50 of 2.9m3/hr/m2, a significant achievement for a house of this age, and critically important due to the seafront exposure π .
Most importantly, the house still holds its original character. A really lovely project to work on β¨ π·π»ββοΈ
