Why not to burn wet wood :
After a recent sweep of a stove with a 6" liner I conducted a smoke test which showed a very poor draw. Upon checking the cowl it was clear what the issue was. As the owner had been burning wet wood, the cowl was close to being completely blocked with creosote. A situation made worse as the homeowner had no carbon monoxide alarm .
