Plant once. Let nature take over!

Unlike traditional hybrid tulips, botanical tulips return year after year—gently multiplying and settling into the landscape as if they’ve always belonged. Their naturalising habit makes them a great, long-term choice: less work, more flowers!

They also play a vital ecological role.

Flowering early in the season, they provide a welcome and reliable source of pollen for bees and other pollinators, when little else is available. Their open flower structure makes this resource easily accessible, actively supporting biodiversity from the very start of spring.

All our botanical tulips are grown organically, without synthetic inputs—supporting healthy soil systems and balanced ecosystems. For more info: dutchorganicbulbs.com

The spring flowering bulbs are doing their thing, in gardens all around Ireland and of course also in the Dutch tulip fields.

This is the low growing Ancilla tulip, that is being topped by hand as the flower sits quite close above the leaves. And to achieve the best quality bulb for spring 2027, we need the leaves to remain undamaged.

While we are focusing on the bulbs for spring 2027, you can enjoy the ones that are coming up this spring. And while you are at it, have a look at what is missing. Add an extra colour? A different variety that blooms a bit later or add some more pollinator friendly bulbs (crocus, botanical tulips, alliums, …).

Check out our website and see what is available for next spring!

Check out the field of the grower of Dutch Organic Bulbs; bulbs tucked in under a blanket of fresh snow 🥰.

Did you know that flower bulbs actually need cold in order to bloom beautifully in spring?

The snow may look cold and sometimes even harsh, but it actually works like an insulating blanket. Under that white layer, flower bulbs stay protected from (extreme) frost.

All -but 2, scroll further- tulip varieties are sold out! There was a run on ORGANIC tall tulips this year, which is of course great news. But not if you are sitting at home and realising that you didn’t get any 🫣.
Go and order one of the 2 remaining tulip varieties before they are all gone. But maybe this is the sign you have been waiting for: get the botanical tulips. The original, wild tulips. Good for pollinators. They will naturalise and become a fixed tenant of your garden.

Or else check out the beautiful daffodils, crocuses and alliums we have. There is still plenty (just forget about those tall tulips for a year).
You can still plant spring flowering bulbs, all the way up to Christmas.

🌸 Dahlia ‘Arthur Hambley’ — dinner-plate perfection 🌸

Meet one for next spring’s wishlist! Arthur Hambley is a dinner-plate dahlia with huge, romantic blooms in shades of soft lilac and rose — each one up to 8–10″ across.

Elegant, showy, and absolutely irresistible for late-summer color.

✨ Tip: stake well, feed regularly, and deadhead to keep those giant blooms coming right up until the first frost.
