We need to update you on the stock situation as so many of you are wondering what’s going on and naturally you need to know.

A little doom and gloom but there are always alternatives and Plan B 👍
Cake Boards: The rumours are true. There is a worldwide shortage of the material to make them. We will not have 12” round cake drums until mid December the earliest but , we also have an extra pre-order in after that, that will carry us for approx 3 months. Hopefully by then, all will be good.
The manufacturers of coloured cake drums will not be producing anymore until sometime next year.
Larger size drums and oblongs also unavailable.
The good news is that there is a large delivery of Masonite Boards on the way in various colours and sizes along with Masonite Drums.
There are also card shortages to make boxes/cupcake boxes, but looking okay so far, working closely with our manufacturer to plan ahead.
Stock with suppliers is so unpredictable. They are ordering all they can and so are we, but there’s a lot that’s unavailable, nothing can be done about that right now. Frustrating!
Some UK suppliers have set up distribution in Europe which is great, but instead of taking 2-3 days delivery, it takes at least 4 weeks.
There are supply issues with some brands of sugarpaste due to raw materials, most are okay.
Emails coming in every day about price increases from suppliers, we’re absorbing as much as possible.
Customs 😭
No doubt they are under pressure, but some delays are unbelievable!
We have so many deliveries stuck for weeks/months, some for 3 months! Once upon a time, we were able to get UK deliveries within 2-3 days, the same deliveries now can take anything from 1 week to 12 or worst case lost or sent back. To sort these situations takes phone calls where you are on hold for 45 minutes and then cut off and have to start all over and still get nowhere!
We’re told the paper work is wrong when it’s mostly right, billed incorrectly, the list goes on!
When certain items go out of stock eg. sugarflowers, it can take weeks to get them in again.
Trying to estimated delivery dates for Christmas boxes and cellophane, but our suppliers can’t advise.
If you have stock queries, Please Email instead of phoning as our guys who answer the phone can’t possible know as they don’t order the stock and things are changing so fast.
We will advise as best we can, though slightly impossible atm.
We don’t want to create a panic buying situation. You can check stock levels by clicking into any product. Where there is no issue, there should be good stock levels.
To help out a little, you can reserve stock that’s there by placing an order and select ‘pay over the phone’, then add to your order when other items come in. We will hold your order for at least 2 weeks and let you know before we cancel it no problem.
