You asked, so here we go, A summer foodie night around the table, In house cookery demonstrations are perfect for those who want some inspiration and to grow their “go to” library of meals. Simple dishes, packed full@of flavour that you can easily replicate and recreate in your own home. With a mix of meat, fish and a veggie dish along the way, you are sure to add some excitement into those mid week meals.

Classes will commence at 7pm and will run 2.5 hours approximately ( depending how chatty we are 😝)

Feel free to bring your own wine, if you fancy a glass during the demonstration ….

As always come hungry as you will be tasting as the dishes are complete.

Thank you LoveGorey.ie , we are loving our new bags, as are the Gorey Farmers Market goers. Derek Sprint Design did a beautiful job for us, and we welcome everyone to come visit us at the market over the coming weeks, we are open from 8-1 every Saturday, there is such a beautiful energy down at the market, as-well as some amazing local produce. Come for a bag, stay for the company and the chats, and of course sample some of the wonderful produce we have on offer .

What a match it was!!!! If you called by the stall after 11, and noticed myself and the girls were M.I.A and the stall has been taken over by the boys….. you now know why !!! Such a great day out for a younger girls, we all need someone to Inspire us, something to work towards. The senior ladies put on a show for us today, not only an amazing score, but amazing skill and speed. Now I just hope those girls are not too inspired and start practicing those Ariel’s near my window. !!!! Proud moments with Gorey Hockey Club

We are Currently running Thai Cookery Demos at the Spoonita HQ. We had 2 fabulous evenings and warming up for two more this Tuesday and Wednesday.

Menu:

Starters:
Thung Thong, Thai Money Bags
Tom Yum Goong
Thai Dipping Sauce

Main Course:
Thai Red Curry (the Red Curry Paste)
Massaman Curry
Phat Bai Horapha (Thai-style Beef with Basil and Chillies)
Larb Moo
Pad Thai

Sides:
Thai Cucumber Salad

Sweet Treat:
Khao Niaow Ma Muang (Mango Sticky Rice)

What happens on a demo night???

You arrive 6:45pm for a 7 o clock start.

Bring your own alcoholic beverages, I’ll have still and sparkling here on ice, so pop a bottle and sit around the island, take a breather and watch me do all the work.

I’ll demonstrate each dish and as they are ready you taste and chat away. All menus are printed off and ready for you at home to recreate them. I promise you will be well able for every dish when you leave and more !!!!

Timings depend on how chatty the group is, and how many questions you fire at me. But normally 2.5-3 hours.

It’s 10 people per evening, and you can pm for details, or if you wish to make your own group that is no problem. Just touch base to organise a date that works for both of us.

It’s that time of the year again, when the alarm bells go off and the countdown to Christmas begins, so take some time for yourself, grab a friend or some colleagues and take the pressure off entertaining this Christmas. Relax and pull out a seat around my kitchen Island and enjoy a social evening packed full of food, fun and demonstrations, it’s a sure way to wet your appetite for entertaining, giving you plenty of recipes, tips and inspiration for the season ahead.



This Year we will be offering a new menu to help take your Christmas entertaining to a new level, While you munch on delightful morsels of tasters, I will show you how these can be used as starters or finger food with plenty of tips and tricks along the way.



Cost pp is €65, arrive 6:45pm to start at 7pm. Approx 2 hours

We are limited to 10 places per night, so get in early to avoid disappointment, I have a few dates available for private bookings so feel free to contact me.

A few of you have been messaging me asking if I am going to do a repeat of last year’s Christmas entertaining class, as some of you who wanted to attend couldn’t get a space … so you asked and here you go…….

I’M GOING TO HOLD A COOKERY DEMONSTRATION AT HOME ON WEDNESDAY THE 29th OF NOVEMBER @ 7:00PM

“ENTERTAINING YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY, CHRISTMAS CANAPÉS AND NIBBLES NIGHT“

YOU CAN SIT AROUND THE ISLAND, ENJOY THE FUN, LEARN SOME NEW TRICKS AND OF COURSE EAT AS WE PREPARE. MOST IMPORTANTLY LEAVE WITH THE CONFIDENCE AND RECIPES TO BECOME THE STRESS FREE ENTERTAINING KING/QUEEN THIS CHRISTMAS.

PLEASE FEEL FREE TO BYO wines, sparking and make a night of it with your friends. I will have a glass of non alcoholic wine here waiting for you on arrival
