Low-tox bedroom concept 🌿

Designing a bedroom focused on:
• calm
• rest
• natural materials
• soft lighting
• healthier choices

A bedroom should feel restorative — somewhere your nervous system can fully switch off.

From the materials we choose to the way a space flows, every detail plays a role in how we feel within it.

Health through design ✨

Why do some homes instantly feel stressful?

Often, it’s not just one thing.

Clutter, poor layout, harsh lighting and overstimulating spaces can all quietly affect how we feel in our homes.

A well-designed space should help you feel calmer, more grounded and supported in your day-to-day life.

Because good design isn’t just about aesthetics — it’s about how a space makes you feel

What makes a home feel calming?

Calm spaces are designed intentionally.

Light, layout, texture and materials all influence how a home feels on a nervous-system level.

When a space flows well, feels soft, and allows room to breathe, it can completely shift how we experience daily life.

A home should do more than look beautiful — it should support how you feel within it 🌿

A home should feel light, calm and easy to breathe in.

If a space feels heavy or uncomfortable, it’s worth paying attention to what might be causing it 🌿

My client wanted a space that felt, calm and comfortable, somewhere that he could spend a Saturday morning with a book and a coffee allowing for a gentle start to the weekend after a hectic week in finance.

Natural materials don’t just look beautiful —
they help create spaces that feel grounded, calm, and easier to live in.

It’s often the simplest choices that make the biggest difference!

Have you ever walk into a new build and you can smell a strong smell, its not just the paint, is off gassing from the new furniture, choose natural where possible and always ventilate, these are forever chemicals, there is no detoxing or fresh air that will fully get rid of them!

What we don’t see in our homes can matter just as much as what we do.

From the materials we choose to the air we breathe, our environment quietly shapes how we feel every day.

Creating a healthier home doesn’t have to be overwhelming — it starts with awareness.
👉 Have you ever thought about this before?

Creating a home that feels calm starts with what we bring into it…

Natural materials, soft textures, and thoughtful choices all play a role in how a space supports us day to day.

Most people focus on how their home looks…

But what about how it feels to live in?

There are things in our homes we don’t always see — but they can affect our energy, sleep, and overall wellbeing.
Becoming aware is the first step.

Your home should support your health, not work against it

Super excited to get this one over the line for this lovely family....lots of lovely memories incoming for them over the summer ahead once its complete with furniture, window treatments, lighting and finishing touches are added.

We went for a beautiful two tone kitchen featuring as many lower base units as possible to keep a feeling of flow and calm in the space. This is a long rectangular room with dining are at the front left of the kitchen and lounge are to the back right so we wanted the kitchen to also lead you into these spaces and create a sense of unity not separation.

The space is ideal for entertaining and also those cosy Fridays nights when all your fit to do is...drop!

Keep a look out for the final reveal!

When you build trust with a client, it's okay to take a risk. This was my second project with them, and they gave me creative freedom.

Their brief was straightforward - we trust me, do what you think, you know me know. I proposed a minimalist Scandinavian style to bring calm to their chaotic lives. The goal was to create a haven for a father and son who'd faced tough times.

I wanted their new space to be a fresh start, a place to unwind and reconnect. Artwork was key, so I incorporated sentimental pieces to set the tone for their new beginnings and this was their response...this is my WHY!

This project was for a Uk client!
