Ratoath Garden Centre

Ratoath Garden Centre The garden centre in a garden! We have the largest show gardens of any garden centre in Ireland. Ratoath Garden Centre is a garden centre in a garden. Meath.

Half of our space is taken up with 'Ratoath Gardens' planted borders which contain 5000 plants. We now have one of the largest show gardens in Ireland which John Lord maintains to a high standard. It is very impressive, even if we do say so ourselves! We have been established for over 25 years. Starting off as a nursery, growing cottage garden plants, it developed into a garden centre originally c

alled the Cottage Garden Centre. Over the years we have grown, we changed our name to Ratoath Garden Centre and we are now the largest plant focused garden centre in Co. Whilst we have grown, so has our love of plants. In this day and age where more and more garden centres are becoming 'lifestyle oriented', we at Ratoath Garden Centre continue to put plants first. We pride ourselves on our plant knowledge, a lot of it gained with our experience over the years in our own borders. And, more importantly, we are happy to pass on our knowledge and advice to our customers. If all of this is not enough to convince you to visit we also have the Wildflower Cafe on-site, which has great coffee and the most fabulous wholesome food menu for miles around. It has a very loyal following of 'Caffeine Heads' who cannot begin to function without a Latte. Also 'Foodie Lovers' from near and far are coming in through word of mouth, as customers are recommending not just the good too but also the friendly service too.

I love the contrast between the white bracts of the Korean dogwood and the dark but not dull leaves of the Physocarpus.

Our gardens are blooming lovely! They are a great backdrop for photos. We’ve had communion children having their photos taken in our gardens. Of course our turtles are a great attraction for the children 🐢
