Jobs to do in the garden in November

▪︎ Plant bare root hedging, roses, trees and shrubs
▪︎ Cut down faded perennials that are looking tatty
▪︎ Plant a Japanese maple in a pot and place in a sheltered spot in semi-shade
▪︎ Prune autumn fruiting raspberries to the ground after harvesting
▪︎ Support top heavy brussel sprouts with sturdy canes
▪︎ Clean out and scrub bird feeders regularly

Good morning all😊We're back open today after a break away. Our hours have slightly changed for the winter months ahead. We are closed Mondays and Tuesdays, open Wednesday-Saturday 10-4pm, Sundays 12-4pm. Please share if you can so word can spread☺️

Afternoon all☺️ We have some beautiful chrysanthemum 6pks now in stock as well as the usual suspects so plenty to choose from. Please note we are closed next week for holidays but we are here today until 5pm . We'll be opening up again but with reduced hours for the winter months, stay tuned next week for an update👍Happy Sunday folks🌸

Jobs to do in the garden in October

▪︎ Plant up cheery pot displays with winter colour such as heathers, cyclamen, winter pansies and skimmia
▪︎ Lift and pot up tender perennials such as chocolate cosmos, gazanias and coleus to protect over winter
▪︎ Plant evergreen shrubs and conifer hedges while the soil is still warm
▪︎ Take hardwood cuttings from ornamental trees and shrubs
▪︎ Cut fruited stems of blackberries and autumn raspberries down to the ground
▪︎ Order bare-root fruit trees and bushes for planting from late autumn to early spring
▪︎ Build a log pile at the back of a border for wildlife to shelter in
▪︎ Clean out and disinfect bird boxes

Afternoon all😊I hope everyone enjoyed our last few days of sunshine, definite chill in the air now winter is on its way, nearly time to get out those winter woolies🍂A few coloured heathers now in stock to brighten up a dull day, solanums, primrose, violas, dianthus, pansies and more to keep your pots full of colour over the winter months🌸We're back open tomorrow 10-5pm😁

Afternoon folks! What a stunning day it is😎🌞 Just a couple of pictures of my fleabane (erigeron karvinskianus 'profusion') putting on a show of beautiful daisy like flowers, this is a brilliant reliable perennial perfect for the front of borders and containers👍We have these in stock at the moment so don't miss out, we're here until 5pm today🌸I hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine, happy Sunday all☺️

Jobs to do in the garden in September

▪︎ Collect ripe seeds from your favourite flowers and store in labelled envelopes, ready to sow in spring
▪︎ Plant up containers for autumn interest using cyclamen, heathers, heucheras and other colourful bedding plants
▪︎ Fill any gaps with late-flowering perennials such as sedums to provide nectar for pollinating insects into autumn
▪︎ Trim conifer hedges to neaten them up and control height
▪︎ Pick apples and pears before the wind blows them down, and store undamaged fruits if you can't eat them fresh
▪︎ Cut off trusses of unripened outdoor tomatoes before the weather turns cold and ripen them indoors
▪︎ Lift main crop potatoes, dry off and store in a cool, dark, well ventilated place
▪︎ Wash and disinfect bird feeders and tables to maintain hygiene
