Spotted this Monkey Puzzle Tree planted in an inappropriate spot in this clients garden.

Discussed with the client the correct spot and pot and moved it to make a statement pot of interest at the clients front door.

Did you know the monkey puzzle tree keeps its leaves all year round. These trees were alive 200 million years ago and rubbed shoulders with the dinosaurs.

It can live for 1,000 years and grows to 50m high with a trunk diameter of over 3m. As the tree matures a larger pot may be required however growth is slow 6-12 inches per year.

In the wild scientific experts consider the tree endangered. Cultivated monkey puzzle trees grow in gardens and parks around the world, but in the wild the species only grows along the slopes of Patagonia's volcanoes in Chile and Argentina.
