That’s a wrap for 2025 folks. Thanks to all of you for your custom this year.
It’s been a tough six months without Pierce but we’re all soldiering on. He always loved the Christmas Eve pint and still thinks we’re mad closing for the week…but we’re closing for the week for a well earned rest for everyone🙂
See you all on the 2nd of January. Wishing you a peaceful Christmas with the ones you love and thinking of the ones who are no longer with us

We were deeply touched by how many people came out on Friday and Saturday to pay their respects as Pierce made his final journey through the town.

Thank you so much to the town traders who stood out for him—he would have absolutely loved that. It meant so much to us that he got to take one last trip through the streets he knew so well before being laid to rest in St. Loman’s Cemetery.

To everyone who travelled from near and far to say goodbye, thank you. We were genuinely humbled by how many of you showed up to share memories and stories about how Pierce had touched your lives. It reminded us, once again, of the kind of man he was—kind, generous, and unforgettable.

We’ll carry that with us as we do our best to keep his spirit and legacy alive in the weeks, months, and years ahead.

We were sent this gorgeous photo of him on his final journey over the old bridge being led by his beloved tipper truck…he would’ve loved it.

We can’t quite believe it but the Boss left us last night. He passed away peacefully among family and friends after a short but tough battle with cancer.
The Hardware, staff and customers were his world. It won’t be the same without him and yet we will keep the show on the road as that was what was most important to him for the last 48years…

We will be be closed Friday from 2pm and all day Saturday. Please help us by getting in early Friday so we can go give him the send off he deserves
