Tax relief is extended to December 2022
The scheme allows owners and investors to claim tax relief for money spent on refurbishment and/or conversion of residential property either as income tax relief (for owner-occupied residential) or capital allowance (for rented residential). It also focuses on the regeneration of retail and commercial districts by allowing owners to claim an accelerated capital allowance on money spent on refurbishment and/or conversion of commercial property.

We are delighted to let you know that A1Architects will be taking part in RIAI Simon Open Door 2020- a wonderful initiative in aid of homelessness and housing insecurity.
Anyone can sign up and in return for a €95 donation to the Simon Community, you will receive an hour long consultation with a RIAI Registered Architect. This year consultations are taking place online (Covid 19 restrictions), the campaign starts tomorrow, 5th of May and ends Friday the 15th.

What can you expect from this consultation?
General advice on:

-Information on building costs including VAT.
-Discussion on building materials likely to be used.
-Planning requirements or Exempted Development from Planning
-The documents that will be used for planning, tenders and building contracts
-Architect's fees and services.

RIAI Simon Open Door is a partnership between the Simon Communities of Ireland and the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland (RIAI). Over €1,000,000 has been raised for the Simon Communities of Ireland by RIAI Simon Open Door in the last fifteen years of the campaign.
