A precision cut required here by a client who needed help with a huge, dead, beech tree. *Watch the lamp 🫣

UPDATE:
Thanks for the 12k views, 200 shares, and the 1,000 comments — 98% from people who watched less than three seconds (FB stats don’t lie).

For those concerned: the tree was very dead. No leaves for three years, bark long gone. It did not cry.

The chainsaw was sharp and doing exactly what chainsaws do to dead wood.

The tree was too decayed and unsafe to climb or access with a cherry-picker and could not be dismantled in sections. The decision to fell it where it stood was agreed in advance… and yes, we missed the lamp.

You’ve got to hand it to Ed Sheeran 👏🏼

On his estate, affectionately known as “Sheeranville”, he’s created a wildlife pond with newts, salamanders, grass snakes, and hedgehogs, alongside a wildflower meadow, a beehive buzzing with activity, and the planting of thousands of native trees. 🌿

He’s also pledged to buy as much land as he can across the UK, and plant thousands of native trees to help offset his touring carbon footprint.  🌳

It’s a quiet but intentional effort to restore habitat, support biodiversity, and rewild an area one plot at a time.
