“בית הליוואן” הבית ברח’ מעלה השחרור 17 הינו מבנה עותומני. בן 200 שנים אשר עבר שימור, ועל יסודותיו הוקם מבנה מודרני המשלב סגנון ישן עם חדש.
במבנה ההיסטורי הוסבה גלריה לתצוגת אומנות בקמרונות קיימים למשרדיה החדשים של מ. פירון ושות’, עורכי דין ממשרדי עורכי הדין המובילים בישראל .
שטח המגרש 1 דונם , שטח כלל המבנה כ-1500 מ”ר ושטח חלל הגלריה לאומנות שהפכה למשרדיה החדשים של פירון כ-400 מ”ר.

בחלל הכניסה בתוך קימרון צלב הפונה ומשקיף אל נמל חיפה תוכנן דלפק קבלה עשוי פלדה ולוחות פלדה בחצי קשת המלווים את הקמרון, חדר ישיבות שקוף עם דלתות פיבוט שקופות בעיצוב מינימליסטי תוך שמירה והדגשה של הקימרון והחלל והמבט לנמל חיפה.
בחלל המרכזי בקומה התחתונה מול חלון וקימרון קשת ענקי הצופה לנמל חיפה הוצבה קורת עץ חדשה המלווה את קו גשר העץ העליון וממנה מישורים של עץ וזכוכית שיוצרים שני חדרי שותף חדשים.
תכנון ועיצוב החלל תחת גלריית העץ המיועד למשרדים נעשה על ידי חלוקת של מחיצות עץ ומחיצות זכוכית קורות עץ עליונות עם שילוב של תקרה עשויה פח בגוון מיוחד . השקיפות של חדרי המשרדים החדשים החומרים והקווים האופקיים מאפשרים לעין לתפוס ולשמר את החלל כולו כאחד.
לצורך כך חלוקות החלל נעשתה על ידי קורות ועמודי עץ, ועל ידי מחיצות זכוכית עץ ופלדה בלבד.

עיצוב החלל הוא מינימליסטי ונעשה תוך שמירה והדגשה של הקימרונות והחללים המיוחדים הקיימים.

A “green” residential building constructed with advanced industrial technology in a property of a Moshav near Zikhron Ya’akov. The area of the property is 2500 m 2. The area of the house is about 200 m 2.

he building is made of a steel frame that consists of seven gables with a trapezoid section. The gables hold lighter steel frames that support the windows, doors and all of the building’s systems.

​

The walls contain layers of industrialized insulations covered with aluminum and HPL boards of different colors on the exterior. The layers of the wall are made according to the “breathing façade” method. The building is built in a way that emphasizes the building technique and the industrial materials that comprise it.

The design reflects the industrial housing in the US during the 50’s.

The Ground floor consists of a kitchen and pantry, a dining space, a living room, a study and a service area. The first floor contains an area for the family and all the bedrooms.



The staircase and the railing are made of steel and wood using a cut and assembling technology. The house has a basement with service areas and a shelter.

WIZO - NEW WING

The Wizo College arranged an architectural competition for the renovation and addition to an existing building (a music school). As winners of the competition, our firm carried out the renovation.

The proposal included the renovation of the 2,400 m2 existing building, the addition of a 2,000 m2 top floor with attics and a proposal for phase two: an addition of 8,000 m2 of three new buildings and an underground parking lot. The project was awarded the 2007 “design award” for educational buildings.

Renovation and expansion of the old building: The old building was a music school designed according to the modernistic style. It had three floors with a system of vertical concrete columns and horizontal beams extending from the ceiling. A 10/10 open patio was placed at the middle of the building. The old building was out of place within the German colony’s urban fabric with its size and appearance.

The architectural concept: The challenge was to accommodate a building of this sort to the German colony with its small scaled red roofed templar buildings. Our firm didn’t see any reason to transform a “modernistic” building into a “templar” building a therefore we created a “screen wall” made of steel and wood that will mark the building’s façade as “new” and also and also add the wood as part of the local material pallet that bonds the building to its surroundings.

The wooden louvers are a climate solution providing shade for the long facades that are mostly facing the east and west.

The facades contain narrow balconies overlooking south to the Carmel mountain and the Bahai gardens, north to the sea and west to Ben-Gurion boulevard.

KULICKE & SOFFA
2018-2019 | Israel | Haifa | Industrial
An electronics industry building near the check post in Haifa.

The area of the project is 2 acres. The built area is about 4000 m2. The Kulicke and Soffa factory moved to an already built structure and adjustments were needed to be made in order to accommodate the company’s functions and character.

Du to the nature of the manufacturing, there was a demand for tens of chimneys that stick out from the building. Therefore, a new light and industrial façade was designed

TG3 MIXED USED GREEN BUILDING

A proposal for a complex including three residential buildings around a patio with commercial areas at street level. About 100 residential units. A steel and concreate frame were designed for the building.

A curtain wall with shading is mounted upon the frame. The double façade creates a climatic gap with shading and it also serves as the contour of the wide balconies around the building. On top of the thermo acoustic roof, a large field of photo electric cells will be installed in order to provide heating, cooling and electricity for the residents. The façade is dynamic and climatic with a significant combination of green walls.
