Some of our GSI controllers are lonely. They are installed in remote areas that are geographically isolated from other connected and unconnected devices. But they are never far from the user. GSI is equipped with the latest M2M cellular modems that operate in the most remote areas. GSI devices may be far away but they are always within reach via any web connected device.

Maybe being lonely is not the worst thing after all.

Like most manufacturers, we pride ourselves with a consistent stream of new product offerings. Some offer new features, some fix issues and some are just released for the sake of releasing something new.

It is always nice to run into a product that was not only made years ago, but one that has been in use for many years. Here is an example of a Remote Terminal Unit (RTU) that was installed nearly 20 years ago and is still humming along communicating with an equally aging Galileo irrigation controller that is nearly half a mile away.

I bet you will agree that it is also good to know that if anything happened to this RTU, we still have parts available to repair it....
