It is with profound sadness that we received the news of Pope Francis’s passing.
Pope Francis was a remarkable leader whose love for humanity and vision for unity — so powerfully expressed in Laudato Si’ — made a lasting impact on the world, and on me personally.
Meeting him and being part of his hopeful mission was one of the greatest honors of my life.
Through the The Educational Water Pact Forum — established with His Holiness’s support, blessing, and inspiration, in collaboration with the Pontifical Foundation Scholas Occurrentes , the Department of Spanish and Latin American Studies at the The Hebrew University of Jerusalem , and Y.A. Maof Holdings and Management — we worked to improve access to clean water and better living conditions for communities in need, carrying forward His Holiness’s vision.
“Our world has a grave social debt towards the poor who lack access to drinking water because they are denied the right to a life consistent with their inalienable dignity.”
– Pope Francis, Laudato Si’, 30
We have lost a true leader who cared deeply for people and for our planet.
His passing is an immense loss for humanity.
May his legacy continue to inspire us all toward greater compassion, unity, and hope.
