Architects do not share a lot of construction process. We think it is a really beautiful stage. Everything is still blurred, but you can already see how layer by layer the building starts to reveal itself.

Minimalist steel staircase designed for one of our new projects.

The staircase was developed as a clean geometric element integrated into a restrained interior palette of textured surfaces.

A few years ago we were wondering if anyone outside of our immediate circle would even understand what we are trying to do with architecture.

Now this small eyewear store from Tel Aviv keeps appearing in different publications and platforms around the world.

FRAME Awards Gold, Gooood, Retail Design Blog, Architecture of Israel, Rethinking The Future and others.

What makes us happy is not only the publications themselves, but the fact that a very specific idea managed to stay intact through the whole process — reducing visual noise, slowing attention, and treating every pair of glasses as an individual object rather than part of a wall of products.

CHICODE — construction process

A few moments from the site before the final layer arrives.

The project is still unfinished, but the main logic is already there: a rough material base, an exposed ceiling, a continuous gray floor, and a central blue structure that holds the store together.

The space is designed as one open interior for different types of menswear, without separating them into closed rooms.

At this stage, it is still raw — but already readable.

Milan Design Week is often described as a spectacle.
And it is — intense, overwhelming, full of energy.

This year, it was also a process.

Working with the .design team was both challenging and genuinely rewarding.
Fast decisions, constant adjustments, long days — but also a rare level of focus and collaboration.
We learned a lot.

There’s an ongoing conversation around innovation at Milan Design Week — whether it’s still the place for it, or something else.
For us, it was an opportunity to contribute to that question.

To test ideas, materials, and atmospheres in a real, public context.

Grateful to be part of it.

Some of the most important decisions happen during construction.
Not in drawings, but in moments — on site, with materials, under constraints.

This is where the project finds its final form.
