We are happy to reveal the first images of the main space in the exciting mega project by BSR Group - GATE Jerusalem.
The project located at the main entrance to the city of Jerusalem will become the first modern gateway to the city and will combine many functions in a complex of housing, offices, hotels, commerce, public and community spaces.
Our studio was chosen to lead the planning and design of all public spaces and functions in the project.
The combination of old and new made Jerusalem such a unique city and we did not miss the opportunity to create the combinations in the material and quality of the space as well.

Holiday Gres apartment // Tel Aviv // RUST architects // lead designer Maayan Karni Dustra // photos by Itay Benit
We were asked to plan and design 2 holiday apartments near the port of Tel Aviv. Small and compact apartments that contain all the functions of everyday life and life on vacation. We decided that the design of the carpentry details would become an integral part of the identity but also of the architecture of the interior of the apartments.
The first act is to treat the apartments like an exposed concrete box and plan carpentry details and ironwork that will become elements that appear to float inside the concrete walls.
This apartment gets its identity thanks to carpentry details in warm colors that create a subtle contrast with the concrete walls. At the entrance to the apartment, a corridor which we turned into a service and storage area at the entrance to the apartment with a large wall mirror, a public space containing a kitchen in yellow and orange tones, a living room, a comfortable bedroom including a personal work station and a bathroom in shades reminiscent of the public area.

The first apartment, its size is less than 50 square meters. It gets its recognition thanks to the bright Klein blue next to natural oak. Combining modular furniture and iron work produces many textures and different materials that give a pleasant feeling of a small house full of details.
