I had an interesting gardening experience during Diwali. I travelled to Gurugram where my son lives in a rented ground floor flat with a small front garden. I carried one tray with 100 tomato seedlings. On 13, 14 and 15(FN) Nov I planted these seedlings in the garden bed and in pots. I spent time in preparing a potting mixture with cocopeat, soil, perlite, vermiculite and vermicompost. I used this mixture in the garden bed and pots. In all I was able to transplant about 75 seedlings. Some passers by stopped to enquire about my activities. I explained to them about the technique of plug and plant and shared three seedlings with one lady. It was a highly enjoyable and calming exercise.

WORM CASTING TEA
Add worm casting in 20 ltrs bucket filled with water. Add two tablespoons of sugar and use a fish tank bubbler for 24 to 72 hours to make worm casting tea for your plants.

USAGE : Dilute 1:3 to water plants.
