For a kiwi plant to undergo pollination and bear fruit, it is essential to have both male and female plants; otherwise, it will not produce fruit if there are only males or only females.
​We can identify a kiwi plant as male or female either at the nursery or during the flowering season. Grafted kiwi plants typically begin to bear fruit after 2–3 years, provided both male and female plants are present.​For the best results, ensure your plants are in a sunny location with plenty of summer irrigation to support the heavy flowering and fruiting process.
