The one plant that always gets “Oh Wow, this is the prettiest plant I’ve seen” comment❤️‍🔥.

🔖Monstera “Albo”. 🤍

Considered to be notorious to burn off the white leaves, I probably have mastered the art to keep it pretty always. Happy Monstera Monday👍🏻

Happy Anthurium Thursday🎉

Presenting one of my precious babies which exactly isn’t mine. 🔖Anthurium NSE Red Crystallinum.❤️‍🔥

Considered one of the most sought after plant for cross breeding and lemme tell you, the colours in this is wow. What you are seeing is a hardened leaf. Emerging as almost Blood Red🩸/ Purplish to Bright tones of Crimson to finally settling with red veins and amazing dark foliage. It’s a treat to watch.

All the NSE Tropicals Red Crystals can be traced back to Tim Anderson’s Wonderboy project. Mind I tell, that’s an amazing plant as well. But there’s a constant competition between two type of RC’s: NSE vs Tezula Plant. (Google “Necromancer” & “Dreamweaver”). While Tezula plants might have crazier flow of colours, NSE reds also never fails to impress.

This plant belongs to one of my dear friend . I am taking care of this baby but someday will get back to his amazing collection. But for the meantime, lemme enjoy the show.

Well this started as fascination and now into an obsession. The big game in the plant world revolve around these genus of plants. The “ANTHURIUMS”.

These plants have been holy grail and some of them having morphologies that look out of this world. These are diverse and you can try 100s if not 1000s of existing species and guess what, you can always try to create your own hybrid. They are like small gene game characters.😎🤯

Another Day,
Another Variegated Monstera.
These beautiful colours of variegation, never fail to amaze.

Presenting beautiful Monstera Aurea. Variegation can be amazing, this one comes in yellow and tints of mustard.

Tips to care for Monstera: Always focus on Light, Water & Soil. Good amount of bright indirect light, monitored watering & clearly some chunky soil. Not just variegated monstera but any variegated plant is a kind of genetic mutation, so they surely need extra attention. They go from full queen to full of s**t drama real quick. But, you’d be proud of outcomes.

There’s always something that gets you hooked onto nasty obsession of doing more and seeing the best. Well my obsession has been a lot of things and one of them is plants. And the first of Instagram plants world that got me hooked to crazy plant obsession is this pretty “Monstera Albo Variegata”. As difficult it can be to hunt down the perfect genetics of plants, I got my hands on a pretty “White Tiger lineage by Kunzo”- Pretty perfect genetic line up to trust. The previous owner of the plant got it from Singapore back in 2018 and the story continues. No matter how difficult it gets, you just can never go wrong with right genetics and lineage tracking. Hope this continues to grow big and I’ll bring some of the props for my people to witness the beauty in their home.

Haha, basic Thai constellation jokes never fail.
A very happy Monstera Monday from my Thai and Flame❤️‍🔥
Thai might have a stable variegation and doesn’t revert but comes with one big flaw and that is Root rot. We’ll discuss that some other day, but for now. Just admire how beautiful and unique Monsteras can get.

Dark Magic ✨ SALE UPDATE(Scroll down)❗️
🔖Botanical ID: Anthurium Crystallinum
🌎Origin: Central and South America, particularly Colombia and Ecuador

✨Rarity Index: Uncommon (From easily available ones to Unicorn 🦄 Rare Hybrids)
💸Price: Moderate to Very Very High

So this one plant has got the whole fandom scratching their heads, because the number of varieties it got based on “Crossing”, “Cultivar”, “Origin Region” and what not. From “Pure Crystallinum” to “Dark”, “Narrow”, “Miniature”, “Silver-Blush/Chrome/King”, “Hybrids”, “Noids” and “Cultivar”. Which basically means there are so many types out there for a single plant. Cool, Right?

Anthurium crystallinum, known for its striking foliage with velvety leaves and prominent white veins, has several popular hybrid types. These hybrids often combine the desirable traits of A. crystallinum with other species to enhance characteristics such as leaf shape, size, and coloration.

These hybrids are sought after for their ornamental value, especially among collectors of exotic aroids. Each hybrid offers a unique combination of traits that can suit different preferences in terms of leaf shape, size, and texture. Cultivating these hybrids typically requires conditions similar to those favored by their parent species: high humidity, well-draining soil, and bright, indirect light.

He’s small now but he’s a KING 👑.
🔖Anthurium Veitchii aka. King Anthurium is truly a Royal plant.

This magnificent species can grow up to 6ft long! These are quite easy in comparison to their velvety cousins, although are VERY slow growers. This one particularly is a Wide form considering the spaces between each ribs(abs). The leaf truly has abs and that increases in count with age.

Can’t wait to see it grow huge getting over 5ft-6ft. A sweet little birthday gift for me🤞🏻🧿

Well spectrum lights do create magic✨
Don’t y’all think?

If only I can do justice and make you all see how these look in the night under my new lights. Making the basic ones look like NSE Red and SKG😂

Until someday I really get a NSE Red, Delulu is the new Solulu😅

Happy Monstera Monday 👑✨

🔖Botanical ID: Monstera adansonii var. laniata
🌎Origin: Central and South America

Monstera laniata, also known as Monstera adansonii var. laniata, is a captivating vining plant native to the rainforests of Central and South America. This variety is noted for its larger perforated leaves compared to the standard Monstera adansonii, making it a unique addition to any plant collection.

The most confusing part is differentiating between a Laniata and Adansonii is pretty simple when you notice it. The difference between these plants is that the underside of the leaves of the Monstera Lanieta Albo is matte while the Monstera Adansonii is more glossy. Moreover, the Laniata has two stripes of holes in the center of the leaf. This is different from Adansonii in that it has random holes all over the leaves.

Well honestly, Laniata is a sub species to the Adansonii and there’s more similar species under the same tree but yeah just looks little different.

It’s a better choice for a houseplant compared to M. Adansonii if your preference like me is big foliage and single node growth. Adansonii can go bushy and extend like Pothos aka money plant.

Till then keep loving plants, Stay an ILLUMINATI🧿

It’s Monstera Monday but here we have an imposter😂✨

🔖Botanical ID: Amydrium Medium Silver
🌎Origin: Hybrid, cultivated for ornamental purposes

Although very similar to Monstera plants, Amydriums are native to tropical Asia (Old World Tropical) while all Monstera plants are native to South America (New World Tropical). Amydrium medium has large cordate (heart-shaped) foliage with fenestration’s (holes) and lobed (cuts).

Amydrium Medium is a vining plant, with leaves that will fenestrate with maturity. It has been called the spider man monstera and the leaves are really striking. The colours I have are green and a grey/blue/silver one.

Thriving Conditions:
🔆Light: Bright, indirect light
💧Watering and Humidity: Keep soil consistently moist but not waterlogged; appreciates moderate to high humidity
🪴Substrate: Well-draining, aerated potting mix with organic matter
🧪Fertiliser: Balanced liquid fertilizer every 4-6 weeks during growing season
📈Growth type: Medium-sized climbing vine with silver-veined leaves
✂️Propagation: Stem cuttings or air layering

😥Things to worry for: Overwatering, low humidity, pests (such as spider mites), and leaf burn from direct sunlight
❤️‍🔥MOSHI rating: 4.8/5

Let’s talk about “VARIEGATION”. What exactly are Variegated plants?✨

Variegation in plants refers to the presence of different colors or patterns in the leaves or other plant parts. It’s caused by genetic mutations, environmental factors, or a combination of both. This can result in leaves having patches, stripes, or edges of different colors, creating visually striking patterns.

While variegation can be Marginal, Medial, Sectorial, Streaked, Mottled and Chimeral. We will get into each one of them slowly with time.

Starting with “Chimeral Variegation”, this is the most common type of houseplant variegation, a houseplant that exhibits green, white, or yellow on its leaves or shoots, is known as a “chimera”. This is caused by a combination of genetically different tissues within the same plant, resulting in different colours and patterns.

Here we are looking one of very rare and most valuable form of Chimeral Variegation, “THE MINT FORM”.
Mint variegation is a leaf pattern that occurs when the meristem cells in the L2 layer of a plant do not produce chlorophyll. The white layer is visible through the green epidermis, resulting in a mint color. Which results in thin green veining over white and lighter shade of green patches on foliage.

Plant collectors are sucker for this. Thus the price is always in range that will shock you and drill a hole in your quaterly budget.😂

But nevertheless here I am taking you through everything there is to know on this plant journey.❤️‍🔥

Swipe right for a small knowledge test. Identify the type of variegation on the next plant.
