HOME ON CAMBRIDGE ROAD

Bathrooms should never be boring. 🚿✨

We extended the "Indian Contemporary" design ethos into every wet area, ensuring they felt like seamless extensions of the living spaces rather than utilitarian afterthoughts.

We moved away from standard white tiles and embraced a moodier, more textural palette. The goal was to create spaces that felt sophisticated yet deeply rooted in tradition.

How we achieved the look:
✨ The Modern Shell: Using grey, textured finishes (like IPS or concrete plaster) creates a sleek, minimalist canvas.
✨ The Artisanal Punch: We introduced warmth and character through distinct Indian elements, like the vibrant, hand-painted ceramic basin in the powder room.
✨ Earth & Texture: In other spaces, we used terracotta tones and geometric patterned tiles to create an immersive, warm experience.
✨ Luxurious Upgrades: The renovation also included enlarging the master bathroom to create a spacious, luxurious suite for the clients.

HOME ON CAMBRIDGE ROAD

Level up! 🎲✨ We took the upper level of this Bangalore apartment and reimagined it entirely. By merging the old living and dining zones, we created a dedicated sanctuary for what matters most: quality family time.

From a custom-built board game table (look at those tray attachments for snacks, wine glass and cards!) to cozy reading nooks and curated displays, this lounge is all about slow Sundays and competitive game nights. A relaxed, casual escape just one flight of stairs away.

We brought the outdoors in with a soft, natural texture of light olive green texture by . A striking detail of a teak wood grid inlaid with handwoven rattan mats adds warmth and a touch of traditional craftsmanship overhead.

🛁 Following the bedroom's theme, the bathroom is a seamless color block, enveloped entirely in the same olive green IPS finish. This choice creates a cohesive, immersive, and truly unique private retreat.

Every element—from the rich teak wood furniture to the subtle color palette—was chosen to evoke a sense of calm and contemporary elegance.

HOME ON CAMBRIDGE ROAD

We believe a guest room should feel less like a spare room and more like a sanctuary. For this project, we wanted to create a tactile journey from the moment you step in.

In the bedroom (Slide 1), we carved out a "room within a room" by raising the floor and lowering the ceiling with woven cane. It’s the perfect nook for morning coffee or losing yourself in a book or morning yoga. The band of ochre on the walls adds just the right amount of grounding warmth against the airy white.

HOME ON CAMBRIDGE ROAD

On the lower floor, we completely reconfigured the layout. We expanded the kitchen, giving it a spacious, closed-off design and connecting it to both the dining area and the utility room. This fulfilled the clients' need for a dedicated culinary space. An old bedroom was converted into a bright and functional home office for the wife, while the previous dining area was transformed into a stunning "color block cave." The dining space features terracotta-colored IPS walls and ceiling and cement flooring by , complemented by custom-made terracotta lights by that create a warm, inviting atmosphere.

Our clients had purchased two 3BHK flats, one on top of the other, with a clear vision: to transform the two separate units into a single, cohesive, and tranquil home that perfectly suited their lifestyle. Their request was for a space that felt calm, safe, and cozy, with a modern aesthetic that subtly nodded to Indian traditions. The focus was on creating intimate zones for family activities, such as reading and playing board games, rather than a large space for entertaining.
The renovation was an extensive spatial reorganization. We began by physically connecting the two floors with a custom-designed staircase—a sleek metal structure with warm wooden treads, anchored by a unique stone column featuring delicate Indian carvings. This element became a central artistic focal point, blending the modern and traditional styles seamlessly.

The narrative of the Dubey Home unfolds through a clear spatial hierarchy. The ground floor is the heart of the home, a dynamic and open-plan space designed for communal living. The living, dining, and kitchen areas are visually and physically connected, fostering a sense of togetherness and making it easy for the family to interact, whether they are cooking, eating, or relaxing. This public zone is a vibrant hub of activity, characterized by its fluid movement and the constant play of light.

In contrast, the private zones are strategically placed for seclusion. The primary bedroom suite is tucked away in the northeast quadrant, separated from the living area by a subtle yet effective visual divider—a thoughtfully designed foyer and a modern Puja unit. This transition provides a moment of calm, allowing the space to feel like a true sanctuary. The kitchen, located in the southwest, is a hub of efficiency, opening to the dining area and a small vegetable garden on the west. This layout not only optimizes functionality but also invites nature into the daily routine.

A staircase, a sculptural element in itself, leads to the first floor, a space dedicated to the daughter and her activities. It houses her bedroom, a dedicated study, and a home office, offering a quiet, private domain for focused work and rest. The upper level also features a large, eastern-facing terrace with a covered deck, providing an ideal vantage point for enjoying evening teas as the sun sets in the west. This outdoor space is a natural extension of the home, a tranquil retreat for quiet contemplation or social gatherings.
