Our Story

Since it’s inception the company has come a long long way. It all began with yarns being transported to different parts of the country to rug manufacturers. Supply of yarns soon turned into a single loom installation for a bespoke rug project. apart from the yarns supplies, soon a full fledged rug manufacturing unit was installed to manufacture and sell rugs to the local rug sellers. There was no looking back then. The praise and admiration received from the bespoke rug project was enough to keep moving forward with the motto of supplying the most authentic hand crafted rugs at reasonable cost. One loom soon turned into 60 plus looms, and instead of supplying rugs to local rug sellers we turned our face towards the Global Market, developing a niche product.

The company had clients from all over the world in a very short span of time. By the year 2001, the company changed it’s name to - Mohit Carpets and had to stop it’s domestic sale due to tremendous amount of workflow and spread it’s legs fully into Exports. The art of Rug Making was passed on from generations to generations and a strong name has been made in the field of Rug Making. It is a Family Owned business and with the entry of the third generation into it, Mohit Carpets became Rugs De Indiska in the year 2013 , the company made progress faster than ever. With the right set of minds behind the product developments, Innovative Ideas, Zero Quality Compromise and On Time Delivery the client list kept on increasing and it still is till this day.

A Picture of the raw yarn ready for being dyed. We have a name in using the highest quality of yarn in our products. Yarns such as New Zealand Wool, Semi Worsted Wool is still being used in most of our products.

Using the best colors for dyeing adds to the quality of the rug. With various dyeing techniques which we consistently work on to develop, our products have the most natural and beautiful effects. Our Dyeing Process is 100% chemical free and only natural and vegetable dyes are used to Dye the yarns. With a color selection of more than 3000 colors, we are sure you will find the right color for you.

The most intricate of the entire Rug making process. The Weaving. With the presence and support of Skilled weavers and artisans at our facility, we are sure that every rug weaved is of the utmost quality. An intrinsic care is being given to the artisans and the rug weaving process so that each and every knot is weaved on the right place.

Washing is most important of all. Perfect wash will lead to a perfectly finished rug. We care about our environment and hence we do chemical free wash. A rug is washed using a wooden plank carved entirely in a perfect shape to wash the rugs. Our rugs are washed multiple times to remove all the dirt and extra colors that gets on the yarn during dyeing and any other impurities that comes into it during the rug weaving. These multiple wash ensure that you get the softest and highest quality Rug. Some of our rugs, as attested by our clients have lasted for more than three decades.
