Gautam Gandhi, a graduate of Vadodara Design Academy. After that he joined highly reputed & a leading design firm in Gujarat. During his 3 years experience in firm Gautam worked on as a designer on residential, commercial and retail projects. Chandni Gandhi, passed out from Vadodara Design Academy as an Architect. After that she joined a reputed & a leading design firm and worked as an Architect for two years gaining experience in residential, commercial and residential projects. Unlike some, a dental clinic interior design isn’t just an aesthetic challenge; it’s also a functional one. A well-designed dental clinic can make all users’ experience more efficient and less stressful.

Our design strategy was to bring together a clean fresh medical environment and a health-inducing wellness experience so patients feel comfortable and at ease.

Your physical space influences your performance so it’s needless to say how much a good design can contribute towards a successful practice. The first task was to understand the workflow which eventually led to our Layout.

There are multiple entries into the clinic so as to facilitate and segregate the movement of doctors and patients in a way that privacy can be maintained at all times.

This dental clinic is in the Bharuch, located in Gujarat state India. It was kind of a challenge to turn a shops into a clinic. The design process involved working out on necessary functions of the clinic in three rectangular volumes, such as two operatory, cabin, reception - waiting, sterilization, storage and toilet in 650 sq. ft. of area.

One enters into the central Reception area where the staff can promptly attend to the newly arrived patient and lead them eventually to the respective doctors. The waiting area is connected with the cabin and operatory on either side with glass partitions but also maintaining privacy by the means of frosted glass at eye level.
The warm yellow Jaisalmer stone creates contrast with the light walls, thus creating depth and an illusion of a larger space. Use of wooden tones amidst white marble laminate and black granite further warms up the space. Amidst these neutral palette, the blue on the reception area wall brings in some freshness.

The pastel colors and natural light made consulting room more open and inviting. It is big enough to accommodate patients with their family or friends. One can find doctor’s achievements and god’s picture on the wall to play role in lowering anxiety once they enter in consulting room. Wooden tones add vibrancy to space with white neolith table top.

This room further leads to the operatory. As per Doctor’s requirement there is a platform having basin on the top and storage beneath. There is an overhead storage and product display shelves on upper part of platform. Orange dental chair and blue wall tiles gives warmth to the space. White marble with wooden laminates on storage add elegance to the space.

The right side of the reception area there is an another operatory which gives very light and calm looks to room adding blue dental chair and grey sofa with light pastel colors on the wall. There is a storage cabinet with wooden laminates and white marble on the top makes space more interesting.

Calm pastel shades on the walls reflects ample light making the room seem bigger and bright. The color palette is chosen in a way that it induces calmness so the patients can be relaxed. By using two colors on one wall, divided horizontally creates visual interest with vertical grooves.
