PROJECT DETAILS
Project Name:
Location: Thalassery , Kerela ,India
Area: 2700sq. ft.
Cost: Undisclosed
Completion Year: The project reimagines urban living for a contemporary nuclear family. Envisioned as a response to the dense city fabric and the family’s desire for openness, greenery, and abundant natural light, the home negotiates a careful balance between sculptural form and functional everyday living.
The façade is articulated as a light, fluid composition-its folds and curves creating a dynamic play of depth, light, and shadow. Beyond establishing a distinct urban identity, this gesture carves out a suspended garden within the built form. This green void blurs the line between architecture and landscape, allowing the building to function as a living, breathing entity connected to its environment.
The garden plays a vital role in enhancing the microclimate by filtering air and daylight, while offering intimate visual and physical connections to nature at multiple levels of the home. From the street, these layered green interventions introduce a sense of domestic warmth and ecological sensitivity, softening the building’s presence within the urban realm.
