24 kt Gold Plating at ISKCON temple.
Sharing my business journey and spiritual learnings with you all today. In 1999, I received a call from a young Swami at ISKCON temples inquiring about the technicalities of gold plating. Despite my lack of knowledge in the subject, I decided to help him for over 10 months; I answered his questions via email, phone calls, and personal meetings.
Some of the questions he asked 24 years ago are still relevant today:
1) What is the thickness of the gold plating we will do?
2) How will we measure the surface area of copper sheets?
3) Do we need palladium anodes?
4) How do we stop the migration of gold into copper?
5) How many years will gold plating last?
6) What is the quality of lacquer coatings?
Thanks to my consultants and international partners, I was able to provide him with the answers he needed. His questions and his patience in receiving my answers made me realize something about temples and gold plating for temples. I learned that every detail matters and that precision and quality are essential in any endeavour.
This experience also taught me the importance of helping others, even when we may not have all the answers. By working together and sharing our knowledge, we can achieve great things.
If you have any questions about my journey or the technical aspects of gold plating, please ask in the comments below. I'd love to hear your thoughts and insights.
Hare Krishna Prabhu.
