Throwback to one of our most interesting projects, designing a landscape for a property developer’s corporate office. An extremely tight space with a central reception island with wraparound glass for 360* views, floating over a tropical waterbody with this cascade as the feature, completely disguising the boundary wall and creating a tropical oasis.

Detail view of a tiered central courtyard space in an academic block. The terraced steps allow for discreet pedestrian movement leading up to a central amphitheatre for community gathering and events and with a smaller pockets of intimate social spaces.

This site is in the heart of the city, with a neighbouring residence overlooking the backyard. We designed a lap pool with a folly wall that hid the boundary with tall bamboo and allowed the tropical planting to pop through, and connected the wall to the house with a trio of pergolas that became feature elements with the spouts on the folly walls.

Detail plan of an outdoor restaurant space on a rooftop of a business park. Using the landscape planter edge for seating, allows for greater utilisation of the available space and by adding a split level, it subtly changes the spatial dynamics.
