From Foundation to Front Page:
Two Anganwadis, One Strong Statement

When CSR is done thoughtfully, even village infrastructure makes headlines.

Through the CSR initiative of Calibre Chemicals Pvt. Ltd., two new Anganwadis — one at Nargol and another at Umbergaon — have been developed from the ground up. And yes, the work has now received media coverage. 📰✨

But the real story is not the newspaper column.
It is the intent behind the concrete.

These were not “just small buildings.”
They were designed professionally, keeping in mind:
✔ Child-friendly scale and safety
✔ Durable materials
✔ Proper electrification and ventilation
✔ Functional planning
✔ Aesthetic finishes that create a welcoming environment

Because let’s be honest — small-scale projects often get small-scale attention.

As CSR Consultant & Project Lead, I believe the opposite.

If it is for children, it deserves full seriousness.
If it is CSR, it deserves structured ex*****on.
If it is infrastructure, it should last.

An architect’s job is not just to make drawings look good.

🧱 “Plot dekh ke pyaar ho gaya? Thoda ruk jao.”

We understand the feeling.
Plot dekha. Khula sky. Broker smiling like he’s your long-lost cousin.
Dil bola, “Bas yehi.”

But land buying is not romance.
It’s a background verification exercise.

Before you say yes, check these non-negotiable things:

1️⃣ Land Use Zone (NA hai ya nahi?)

First question. Always.

– Agricultural land ≠ buildable land
– “NA ho jayega” is not a guarantee, it’s a gamble
– Residential, commercial, mixed-use… zoning decides what you can legally build, not your mood

No NA, no clarity.
Simple.

2️⃣ Special Restrictions (CRZ, ASI, Forest, etc.)

That “peaceful” plot may come with invisible handcuffs.

– Coastal land? CRZ rules apply
– Near heritage structure? ASI restrictions apply
– Green or protected zone? Forget flexibility

These don’t show up in selfies.
They show up during approvals… or demolitions.

3️⃣ Abutting Road Width (Very underrated, very dangerous)

That cute 6-ft galli is not “future development”.

Road width controls:
– How much you can build
– How tall you can build
– Fire access
– Parking permissions

Narrow road = limited construction.
No amount of optimism changes that.

4️⃣ Plot Shape (Geometry matters in real life)

Triangle plots look cool only in maths textbooks.

In real construction they:
– Waste space
– Kill furniture layouts
– Increase cost per sq ft

You don’t live in a diagram.

5️⃣ Surroundings (Today’s empty plot ≠ tomorrow’s view)

That open land next door?
Could become:
– A hostel
– A factory
– A temple with enthusiastic speakers

And no, crematorium views don’t improve resale value, no matter how “airy” the plot feels.

Love at first sight is fine.
Land needs arranged-marriage-level background checks.

🚀 41 Years of Aakruti Designers – From Blueprints to Landmarks! 🎉

Back in 1984, when bell-bottoms were trending and Doordarshan was peak entertainment 📺, two visionaries, Harjibhai Tandel and Gajanand Patel, decided that Daman needed its own architectural and structural consultancy firm. And just like that, Aakruti Designers was born – the first local firm in Daman!

🏗️ Over the last 41 years, we’ve designed homes, offices, hotels, and probably even the places where you've signed your biggest deals or had your favorite chai! ☕🏡

Fast forward to 2007, a new chapter began as I joined as an Architect, adding my touch to the legacy. And now, as a partner to my father, Gajanand Patel, we continue to build on the strong foundation laid by our founders.

From drawing on tracing paper to CAD magic 🖥️ and from handshakes to Zoom calls 📞, we’ve evolved with the times, but our commitment to great design remains timeless!

Here’s to four decades of shaping Daman’s skyline – and we’re just getting started! 🏛️✨

🏡 From Crumbling Walls to Colorful Classrooms – Aanganwadi 2.0 in Ahu & Pareti! 🎨✨

What’s better than one transformed Anganwadi?
TWO of them! 🚀

Proud to share that Calibre Chemicals Pvt. Ltd., under its CSR initiative, recently inaugurated two newly designed Anganwadis in Ahu and Pareti, giving little learners a space they truly deserve.

Designed by Aakruti Designers, these centers are now brighter, safer, and way more fun (goodbye, leaky roofs and wobbly benches!).

And because we love a good Before & After story – I’ll be sharing pictures of the old and new Anganwadis. Trust me, the glow-up is REAL!

But this isn’t just about fresh paint and sturdy walls. This project aligns with key United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):

🎓 SDG 4 – Quality Education: Because early learning should start in a nurturing space, not a crumbling one.

🏗 SDG 9 – Industry, Innovation & Infrastructure: Strong foundations, both in buildings and in young minds.

"Bungalow 2.0: Because Renovation is Just Evolution with a Hammer! 🏡🔨😂"

Ever looked at a house and thought, "You’re good… but you could be GREAT!"? Well, that’s exactly what we’re doing! Taking a perfectly fine bungalow and giving it the "bigger, better, and bolder" treatment. 🚀

Think of it like upgrading your phone—except instead of more storage, we're adding more space, style, and sanity (because let’s be real, who ever complained about too much room?).

🔄 Walls are shifting (don’t worry, legally and structurally).
🔼 Floors are expanding (because nobody likes a tight squeeze).
🎨 Designs are upgrading (so the house finally matches your Pinterest board dreams).

Basically, we’re taking the "old" and blending it with the "wow." Stay tuned as we turn this bungalow into a bunga-LOVE! ❤️🏡
