Lotus College Of Optometry celebrates World Optometry Day 2017

We care for eye care, We are Optometrist!!

Your thoughts, words and deeds are painting the World around you. This is what our young Optometrists believe in. Optometrists care for eye and vision care and chose this year’s World Optometry Day (WOD) occasion to share their thoughts on eyecare with the public by way of paintings.

This year at Lotus we celebrated WOD in our own unique way. Our Optometry students did a mural activity in hospital premises to create awareness about eye care and demonstrating creatively how an Optometrist can contribute to community eye health. Ms. Arundhati from Pearl academy mentored the students and did a commendable task of getting 110 students work together for two long days.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Mr. Anil Patel from Proudly Indian for sponsoring paints. Also his valuable advice was very useful to the students for utilization of correct paints. The other supporters of this event include Lotus Eye Hospital, Mrs. Pardiwalla and Ronak Optics and last but not the least Rotary club of Bombay Sea Coast.

We thank Ms. Arundhati for her immense faith in the students and their creativity.

And our dear students for their enthusiasm and commitment for the future of our Indian Optometry.
