Cymbidium, commonly known as boat orchids, is a genus of evergreen flowering plants in the orchid family Orchidaceae. Provide winter growing temperatures between 10-14°C (50-57°F). Keep the temperatures below 30°C (86°F) in summer to prevent damage to the plants.

Locally known as Sunakhari or Sungabha, these wild orchids are mostly found in Himalayan Belt.

The Sunakhari flowers [plants] grow on trees, mostly old and rotting tree trunks, however, they are not parasitic plants because they can prepare food.
