The journey didn’t begin with confidence or a master plan; it began with curiosity. And I learned, slowly and honestly, that curiosity is a far more reliable starting point than certainty ever was.

Clarity was never something that arrived. It was something that was built through making rather than waiting, through brainstorming rather than overthinking, through the quiet accumulation of decisions made and remade until something finally felt true.

The practice exists today not because of inspiration, but because of the discipline of showing up. On the good days and the uncertain ones. On the days when the work flowed and the days when absolutely nothing was working. Showing up was always the answer.

Within the Firozabad plotting development, our approach was to rethink how a residential neighbourhood could evolve beyond a conventional plotted layout.

Instead of treating landscape as leftover space, the planning positions it as the primary carrier of the development — shaping movement, structuring shared experiences, and creating ecological continuity across the site. Green systems, pedestrian corridors, and ecological buffers are integrated into the framework from the outset, allowing open spaces to actively influence how the community functions and evolves over time.

The planning also moves away from rigid and repetitive block formations. A more node-based configuration introduces moments of informality within the larger system — spaces where interaction can happen naturally, where streets slow down, and where community life begins to emerge between built forms rather than being confined within them.

Designed transition zones between homes, pedestrian pathways, planting edges, and vehicular movement further soften the relationship between public and private realms. These layers contribute not only to walkability and social engagement but also to environmental comfort and long-term resilience.

At its core, the Firozabad plotting project attempts to imagine a more connected model of urban growth — one where planning, landscape, ecology, and community evolve together rather than independently.

Art and architecture, in constant motion.

Vishal Gupta’s ( ) journey with Hookkapani ( )is a reminder that art isn’t an afterthought—it’s integral to how spaces are experienced. From canvas to kinetic systems, his work sits at the intersection of art, engineering, and architecture, constantly pushing the idea of what “installation” can be.

The philosophy is simple yet powerful: art is hookka-pani—a necessity, not a luxury.

Now featured in SCALE Magazine ( ) , this recognition highlights a practice that continues to redefine how art lives within architecture.

His collaboration with Urban Mistrii, led by Ritika Rakhiani ( ) , reflects a shared approach to creating immersive, experience-driven spaces where art becomes part of the narrative.

A special mention to the work at Sangeetha, Chennai, where multiple customised art installations were developed—each piece designed not just to occupy space, but to activate it.

Because great spaces aren’t just designed.
They evolve, interact, and sometimes… they move.

Thanks to Aishwarya Kulkarni ( .24 ) for this beautiful articulation.

The masterplan brings together a system of 100 plots within a clearly defined framework.

A structured street network organises movement, while the site is divided into coherent blocks that ensure efficient access, legibility, and balance between built and open spaces.

Shared amenities and green pockets are strategically placed to anchor the development—creating moments of pause within the overall grid.

The result is a layout that is ordered yet flexible, allowing individual homes to evolve within a larger, well-defined structure.

Just got my hands on the October issue of Interior Design Magazine () —and this one feels special.

There’s something about seeing your work in print that hits differently. Beyond the screens, beyond the shares—this feels real.

Grateful to everyone who contributed to bringing this project to life.

If you’ve visited SEOUL (), drop your experience in the comments— we would love to know what you felt in the space.

The planning begins by establishing a clear structure.

A hierarchy of primary and secondary streets organizes movement across the site, ensuring accessibility while defining the framework for development. Plots are arranged within this network, allowing for efficient circulation and logical zoning.

Blocks are carefully segmented to balance density with openness—creating a system that is both ordered and adaptable.

Rather than imposing a rigid layout, the plan provides a structure within which individual homes can evolve over time.

Located along NH-19, the site sits at a critical edge condition—where the dense, unplanned fabric of Firozabad begins to transition into a more open and fragmented landscape.

The project site is defined not just by its boundaries, but by its connectivity, orientation, and proximity to emerging growth corridors.

Understanding these relationships becomes key in shaping a responsive plotting strategy.

Ferozabad accounts for nearly 70% of India’s glass bangle production.

What began as an industry in the early 20th century drew large-scale migration, shaping the city’s growth in ways that were rapid and largely unplanned. Housing clusters formed around factory zones, resulting in a dense and fragmented urban fabric with limited supporting infrastructure.

Today, these conditions define both the character and the challenges of the city.

We are currently working on a plotting project in Ferozabad — engaging with this complexity and taking on the challenge of bringing structure to an otherwise organic growth pattern.

We approach flooring as a critical design element—one that grounds the entire narrative of a space. It connects walls to movement, structure to touch, and design to everyday life. Through careful selection, detailing, and on-site exploration, tiles become more than material—they become experience underfoot, quietly shaping how we feel, pause, and move within a space.
