On the occasion of the Rozgar Mela, Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of Phase I of the Integrated Complex “Karmayogi Bhavan” at New Delhi. This complex will promote collaboration and synergy amongst various pillars of Mission Karmayogi.
The New Campus for the Karmyogi Bhawan is a vital resource for a developing nation!
The building is intended to be a landmark, rising over South Delhi and resembling an iconic structure that commands all views as it passes by on Delhi's busy Ring Road. We live in a data-driven society propelled by the internet revolution.
A new form of architecture and institution are needed for this new reality. In response, the architecture built the structure to be adaptable and evolve, offering amenities and services on pace with the best in the world with the flexibility to meet future needs.
The structure is designed in layers, with a very open and democratic bottom floor that has access to the Karmyogi Bhawan and offices, as well as social areas and lounges with spacious rooms for exhibitions, interactive exhibits, and facilities that flow into one another.
The more peaceful, private, and secure offices, faculty spaces, and facilities for ministry officials, distinguished professors, and essential operations are located on the top two levels.
The five floors are filled with a variety of teaching and learning spaces, including lecture halls, classrooms, seminar rooms, break out areas, and lounges. The seamless blending of indoor and outdoor space is made possible by the numerous terraces located on these floors.

The core values of the Karmyogi Bhawan are knowledge, learning and communication. These values are boldly expressed in the architecture of the building, which is shown for everyone to see on the main facade as a floating box of light and glass. A world-class theater for distinguished events sits at the front of the structure, ornamented with abstracted flower columns and a stately drop off above which is a gorgeously manicured Garden in the Sky.
The building is distinctive—it's towering, robust, and modern!
The New Karmyogi Bhawan is intended to be a jewel, an icon, that symbolizes a rejuvenated India.

OPEN THE DOORS

In alignment with the vision of the client, the conceptualization of the schools at different sites explores “One Idea” with various approaches focusing on 3 major components:

• MIND : Opening the doors of our minds to reinvent oneself

• SPACE : Opening the doors for seamless integration of inside & outside education spaces

• EDUCATION : Opening the doors for holistic education
Students spend the most crucial time of the day in schools.

Our design idea promotes unrestricting the students within enclosed learning spaces, and creating learning environments that facilitate creative thinking and exploration. The uninterrupted visual connection with the outside allows for students to learn from seeing, learn from nature, discover, interact with fellow students/peers and always be one with the environment.

This single idea as “OPEN THE DOORS” is an attempt to create educational spaces that facilitate this shift in education from Instruction to Discovery; to Probing and Exploration.

Organized for the children of Nai Disha Educational and Cultural Society, Chattarpur, a 3 day workshop conducted by INDES , focuses on the cognitive development of the children.
The workshop is curated in a way to instill the creative ability amongst children with the help of day to day activities that involves recognition of lines and shapes, story telling, model making, each one of the activities connected to each other, allowing them to recognize patterns present in their surroundings.

Day 1(PEHCHANO)- The children were introduced to different lines and shapes in reference to some famous buildings and also the things in the surroundings. They were encouraged to go outside and explore and observe nature, and were given the task of picking out a different leaf and trying to recognize the pattern present in it, followed by drawing the same observed patterns and cutting it out to replicate the leaves.

Day 2(AAKAR PAR VICHAR)- Making them aware of the lines, shapes and patterns found in the objects surrounding us. Different objects like Plastic bottle, cardboards, cloth, bubble wraps etc. were put in front of them and they were asked to draw the lines, shapes and patterns they observed.
Keeping that as the base they were asked to make models out of the same waste, the model need not be any object found but a repetition of patterns or shapes, completely out of imagination.

Day 3(LIKHO)- With the completion of models, children were asked to participate in a story telling activity where each one would say a line to complete a story.
Following the same prospects, they were given the task of writing a story based on the model they made. The story telling activity helped them to think and come up with various new ideas considering the models to be the centre of their stories.

The Inter University Centre for Teachers Education (IUCTE) in BHU, Varanasi is a 3 acre site that accommodates a Training Institute, Guest House, Staff residence and a Director’s Residence.

The masterplan concept is to centrally locate the training and research building with a guest house within reach of the entrance while the staff residences(Type-2,3,4, and 5), and Director’s residence further away from the entrance to maintain privacy.

An opportunity to create niches and spaces that instills learning from each other, media group discussions, informal interaction amongst teachers and students through various ways other than classrooms. Incorporating multiple interactive spaces, small to large discussion spaces, laboratories, auditoriums with ‘learn to learn’ essence, which also makes it imperative that the training resonates with how students learn.

The building has a 250 person auditorium, seminar halls, classrooms, library, faculty research offices, and support facilities along with a basement for 4 and 2 wheeler parking. The outdoor and Indoor spaces are seamlessly integrated by creating the entry portal with large steps, making it cohesive using the current color scheme of the BHU Campus.
