Dhanwar is located at 24.42°N 85.98°E. It has an average elevation of 336 metres (1102 feet). As of 2001 India census, Dhanwar had a population of 7,935. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Dhanwar has an average literacy rate of 64%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 73% and, femal

e literacy is 55%. In Dhanwar, 16% of the population is under 6 years of age. The Name "dhanwar"is the name of the block in giridih and Rajdhanwar is now its current name. Rajdhanwar is a place for business at basic level. Earlier, People from around the villages come end sell their items in the place so called "Hatia". Now, it has become a huge market place where the daily transaction are into millions, major contribution being from sale of food products, cloth, jewelry, and metals. Proper health and education system are in place. The nearest railway station is Koderma, Hazaribagh Road and Giridih. One beautiful river called Irga River touches this place. Every year people of Rajdhanwar participate in CHHAT PUJA and this festival is one of the best festival for we people. In 2012 the literacy rate of Rajdhanwar is 85% for male and 75% for female.There are many good scientists,engineers,doctors,teachers. It is surrounded by many small village like-in the east-ROPAMAHUA,NAWADIH,EKDARA..in the west-PACHRUKHI,MODIDIH…in the north-KHORIMAHUA,LALBAZAR…in the south BARJO is there. Living style of this census town is so good.
