FLORIST KALANCHOE
Step 1:
Select an area with plenty of sunlight and light, sandy soil. Use cactus mix to amend the soil if it's too heavy. Dig a hole deep enough to cover the roots and place the kalanchoe in the hole. Fill in the area around the roots with the soil and pack it down lightly. Alternatively, plant kalanchoe outdoors in a planter or container, following the same basic care.

Step 2:
Water kalanchoe when the soil feels dry, but avoid wetting the leaves. Allow some time between waterings, because too much moisture can cause root rot.

Step 3:
Trim off any dead or wilting flowers at their stems. Kalanchoe blooms throughout the year at random times, but deadheading them as needed can help maintain vigorous production. Reduce watering while the plant is in its resting period between blooms.

Step 4:
Fertilize kalanchoe during periods of new growth. Use one-half to one-quarter of the manufacturer's recommended amount of 20-8-20 fertilizer every two weeks. Fertilize sparingly and only during new growth periods.

AGLAONEMA...!! LIGHT
By nature, Aglaonemas do best in well-lit locations such as a window sill with eastern light exposure. Bright, but indirect sunlight is optimal. Be careful not to put your Cutlass Aglaonema in full sun, as the leaves will burn. If you have less than optimal lighting available, don’t worry! Your Cutlass Aglaonema will tolerate, and even thrive in, low light areas. In most cases, artificial light found in windowless offices proves enough for this tough plant.

WATER
Water your Aglaonema when the top 50% of the soil is dry. Water until liquid flows through the drainage hole at the bottom of the pot and discard any water that has accumulated in the saucer.

HUMIDITY
This plant can survive in a low humidity environment, but it will thrive with a higher humidity level. Mist the leaves regularly to raise the humidity.

TEMPERATURE
Cutlasses prefer temperatures in the 60’s and 70’s. Avoid cold drafts and sudden temperature changes.

FOOD
For best results, use a general houseplant fertilizer once a month during the spring and summer.

MONSTERA.... Water
Water every 1-2 weeks, allowing soil to dry out between waterings. Expect to water more often in brighter light and less often in lower light. Pro tip: Monsteras can benefit from filtered water or water left out overnight before using.

Humidity
Normal room humidity will do, but prefers humid conditions if possible. Consider incorporating a fine-mist mister or humidifier to boost humidity level indoors.

Temperature
Most houseplants prefer temps in the 65°F-85°F range (18°C-30°C). It’s best not to let it go below 60°F (15°C).

Soil
Use a well-draining potting mix. Mix in ingredients such as perlite or lava rocks to increase soil aeration as need.

Bromeliad.....
Sunlight The Bromeliad plant requires bright, sunny spaces. You can place your Bromeliad plant where it can get bright, indirect light.
Water Water your Bromeliad plant once a week. It’s important to keep the soil moist, but not soggy.
Humidity Bromeliad plants grow best indoors at a relative humidity of 40 to 60%.
Temperature It does best at 70–75°F during the day and between 60–65°F at night.
Toxicity The Bromeliad plant is non-toxic to children and pets.
Food Feed your Bromeliad plant with a general-purpose, liquid houseplant fertilizer every 1 to 2 mont

FICUS .....!! AVAILABLE... Temperatures: Most thrive well in average temperatures of 60 - 75°F (15 - 24°C.

Light: Bright light with indirect sunlight, but check the specific plant.

Watering: The tree types do not like to be over-watered and find it hard to recover after damage caused from over-watering Be careful here and read the instructions for each species.

Humidity: Average humidity is fine with some misting.

Propagation: Some are very hard and others easier. They're propagated by stem tip cuttings or air layering - depending on the species.

ALOCASIA BLACK VELVET.......!! Light Requirements : Bright, indirect light. More tolerant of lower light than many other Aroids.
Watering: Allow the top two inches of soil to dry before watering. Prone to root rot, so avoid excessively wet conditions or overpotting.
Soil :Coarse, free-draining soil. A good mix is two parts each of perlite and orchid bark to one part potting soil.
Temperature: 59ºF (15ºC) to 80 (27ºC) or above; they grow faster at the higher end. Won’t tolerate temperatures below 55ºF (13ºC) and dislikes both hot and cold drafts.
Fertilizer: Feed monthly with a balanced fertilizer. Apply at half-strength if using an all-purpose preparation.
Humidity: A minimum of 40% humidity to prevent foliage problems, but 60% to 75% is the best range.
Flowering: Very unlikely to flower indoors. Flowers are unimpressive: a pale yellow spathe surrounding a white spadix spike.
Pruning :Minimal pruning required, other than to remove dead leaves.
Propagation: By seed, separating offsets, or division of the rhizome.
Re-Potting: Does better when slightly rootbound. Avoid repotting more than once every 2-3 years, and only increase pot size slightly.
Diseases and Pests: Spider mites are the most likely pests, but reasonably pest-resistant. Fungal leaf spot diseases can be caused by excessive humidity or watering.
Toxicity: Contains calcium oxalate crystals which can irritate the mouth and digestive system. It is toxic to humans and pets.

CALATHEAS...!! AVAILABLE Sunlight
Thrives in medium to bright indirect light, but can tolerate low indirect light.

Water
Water every 1-2 weeks, allowing soil to dry out half way down between waterings. Expect to water more often in brighter light and less often in lower light.

Humidity
Does better in higher humidity if possible.

Common Problems
The Calathea is an easy-going plant and is generally pest-free. Treat pests as soon as they appear with weekly sprays of a natural pesticide like neem oil and regular wipe-downs of the plant.

SYMPTOM: Wilting, curling leaves, dry potting mix
CAUSE: Underwatered

SYMPTOM: Yellowing leaves, black base
CAUSE: Overwatered

SYMPTOM: Leaf spots
CAUSE: Fungal infection or mineral build up from tap water. Use distilled water and water directly into surrounding potting soil.

DIEFFENBACHIA ....!! AVAILABLE Light
Dieffenbachia plants are popular indoor plants largely because they do well in shady conditions, but these plants do appreciate bright light during the winter months. During the growing season, the plant prefers dappled shade or indirect light. The plant will favor the side facing the light, so periodically rotate the plant to keep its growth balanced.

Soil
Use a fast-draining, well-aerated potting mix. Make sure drainage is good to avoid damaging the roots; they should never be left in soggy soil.

Water
During the growing season, dieffenbachias like regular moisture and do not want to dry out. A large dieffenbachia might need to be watered twice a week, but in the winter, cut back on the water. At the same time, it's important not to overwater a dieffenbachia, which can cause rot problems. Make sure the top of the soil is fully dried out before watering.

Temperature and Humidity
This plant likes fairly warm conditions, from 65 degrees Fahrenheit to 75 degrees Fahrenheit. If the temperature drops below 60 degrees Fahrenheit or if the plant is exposed to cold drafts, it is likely to lose lower leaves and assume a palm-like appearance.

Fertilizer
For best results, feed regularly (every four to six weeks) with a balanced, diluted fertilizer, such as a 20-20-20. However, some growers swear by a routine of using a weak diluted fertilizer at every watering.
