HOUSE TO HOME

The low-cost mass housing project was to relocate about 6000 inhabitants living in slums of Indore, India. The design’s main aim is to uplift the living conditions by eradicating various day-to-day challenges faced by them. The idea was to study these indigenous people’s lifestyle and provide them with new and better environments of community living.

BEHIND THE WALL


Public places are an important part of the city in terms of the physical and social functions. The project was to build a public institute on the bank of river Godavari in Nashik. The project dealt with the contextual site, which has a river on one side and a distant road on the other.

The main idea of the project was to create a curiosity through architecture. A mystery pattern was achieved through partially obscured views that entice the individual to travel deeper inside the environment. It slowly reveals a new condition, feature, or information. These tantalizing hints of something pleasant ahead compel an individual to explore further inside.
