Class #2 of artful thinking. In this using only the photo shown in my article & deductive reasoning, I have started the story building process.
Gathering clues from the photo to understand what might be the setting of the photo, design rationales of the architects and the constraints they might have had.
If you are curious about how my assumptions faired against reality I would suggest checking out the project first to tally whether I was completely off the path or not ;)

In our second class we were taken through the See/ Think / Wonder exercise. Q.

In my recent Modern Art Theory classes we have been learning how to understand and analyze modern art paintings. I am using these lessons to start a series of Artful Thinking articles which will use the same critical thinking exercises to deconstructing an image with an architectural lens.

My is to develop critical thinking and analyze real world spaces to understand what makes a particular space vibrate/dull/beautiful or an architectural masterpiece.

We are so busy selling our services that we never spent time educating the public. We have had 5+ years to learn what architects do, yet we expect the public to just 'know' what we do and why they should hire us.

Maybe it's time we learn from other design professionals and start sharing knowledge, instead of just selling our services and products.
