Baans India and Seithogei are ready to welcome you for another BAMBOO CONSTRUCTION WORKSHOP this March 2024 at Arthill, Indore.

This will be a 5 day residential hands-on workshop where this time we look forward to trying our hands on some experimental structural frames using bamboo.

You will be exposed to various methods of designing and building with bamboo as a primary material through scaled model making and learning the use of hand as well as power tools while we execute a full scale structure here at Arthill.

Come and Join us this March in our journey of building with bamboo, understanding it as a future sustainable material.

Baans India welcomes you to Arthill, Indore for a Bamboo Construction Workshop this December 24th. A 5-day learning experience which includes hands-on working experience with Bamboo.

The workshop focuses on the use of hand tools and binding techniques with bamboo strips to develop various forms and shapes. These forms can be a sculpture, a communal resting area or just a dome.

Last but not the least in this series of Bamboo Building skill developement workshops at Arthill, We present to you a chance to learn and make your own bamboo home decor products.
We will explore ways to understand and design pots, wind chimes, hanging vases and other decorative items to suit a home environment using bamboo as our primary material and recyclable plastic waste.

We will have our very own friends, Chumi and Hemonta to guide us through the process of intuitively designing and decorating your house balcony or a partition wall or a cozy seating space and turn them into a living breathing surrounding!

(Module B)

We bring to you, our first Bamboo Products Workshop, where we look forward to learn the skills and gain experience required to design, develop and build our own bamboo utility products.

Learning the art of making products such as mugs, glasses, lamps, cutlery and much more using bamboo as our main material. We will use hand tools and will be exploring the "Learn by Doing" approach in these workshops.

We will be accompanied by a team of Master Artisans from our very own Green Village Tumjang, Assam during these workshops to guide us through and share thier knowledge and skills in the world of Bamboo.

LEARN FROM OUR ARTISAN, This Bamboo Building Month at Arthill, Indore.

L. John is our senior master bamboo builder. He is one of our main artisans when it comes to working with bamboo products. The combination of his hand skills and knowledge, allows him to think, design and build utility products out of bamboo and wood, is an art we aim to learn during the workshop.

Come, join us this Bamboo Building Month from 17th June - 23rd June 2022 at Arthill campus near Indore (M.P.) to learn new skills and explore bamboo as a natural material.

All modules will be guided by a team of Artisans, from our very own Green Village Tumjang] , who will share their vast knowledge and skills in all things Bamboo.
At we follow the 'Hands-on Learn by Doing' methodology.
Participants from all age groups are welcome to join.
