At the heart of Café Reuniono lies its signature palette, a dialogue between warmth and depth.

We crafted this narrative through burnt orange walls, deep blue accents, and handcrafted textures, creating an ambience that feels both intimate and elevated.

Each hue contributes to a visual story that celebrates emotion through design.

The café’s visual identity finds expression in hand-painted murals and textured wall finishes, developed through multiple on-site experiments.
We collaborated with a local artist to introduce a bold yet sophisticated interplay of colour, from burnt orange to deep blue, infusing the space with rhythm, energy, and a distinctly Italian soul.

For Ekistics, Café Reuniono was an exploration in balancing aesthetic restraint with emotional richness.
Every element, from the timber detailing to the spatial rhythm, was envisioned to encourage connection, comfort, and continuity.

It’s design that speaks softly, yet leaves a lasting impression.

The façade of Café Reuniono was conceived as a transitional pause between the bustle of the city and the serenity within.
We designed a welcoming composition of layered textures, muted tones, and curated lighting, establishing an immediate sense of ease.

The entrance doesn’t just lead you inside, it sets the tone for the slow, sensory experience that follows.

A café born from a dream, to bring a slice of Italy into the city.
Where every hue, texture, and corner tells a story of warmth and togetherness.
Step inside Café Reuniono, a space made for unhurried conversations, soulful details, and moments that linger long after the coffee’s gone.

In café interiors, natural ventilation is more than aesthetic choices; they are the pulse of the space. Removing barriers to airflow and daylight transforms an environment, making it feel open, inviting, and alive.

When fresh air flows freely, the ambience shifts: comfort improves, artificial cooling demands drop, and guests linger longer, feeling at ease.

Thoughtful ventilation is not an extra; it is the foundation of hospitality architecture, shaping how a space feels, how people connect, and how memories are made.

When designing cafés, it’s often the smallest decisions that create the greatest operational impact. Materials, fixtures, and layout choices in both back-of-house and guest facilities directly shape efficiency, safety, and customer perception.

For kitchens, we often specify durable and low-maintenance materials like Kota stone. Its natural slip resistance and ability to withstand high-heat, oil-prone environments make it ideal for ensuring both hygiene and safety.

The same attention extends to washrooms. In high-footfall cafés, poorly planned facilities can disrupt guest flow and leave a lasting negative impression. By optimising placement, circulation, and finishes, we create spaces that are functional, easy to maintain, and aligned with the overall design language.

Thoughtful washroom planning and durable material choices for heavy-use areas are design decisions that pay off every single day.

Think about the last café you visited. Was the sound comfortable, easy to talk over, without feeling too loud? Acoustic design plays a big role in how long guests stay and how much they enjoy the space.

At Ekistics, we keep sound levels under 80 dB for clear conversation and plan layouts that avoid “loud corners.” Balanced sound distribution ensures music, chatter, and background noise feel consistent across the café. This is how we design restaurants and hospitality spaces where sound supports comfort instead of competing with it.

A kitchen isn’t just about fitting appliances into a room; it’s a system where every decision affects safety, hygiene, and workflow. At Ekistics, we start with the menu, because what you cook determines the equipment – and that, in turn, shapes everything else.

High-heat or high-grease cooking changes how we design drainage and specify flooring. Oil-resistant tiles and slip-resistant finishes keep staff safe. Gas banks are positioned away from burners to prevent hazards. Ventilation systems are planned to extract heat and odour effectively, while electrical zones are separated from cooking stations for safety and efficiency. It’s a holistic approach to commercial kitchen design within hospitality architecture.

At Ekistics, we believe that lighting in a café is not just about visibility, it’s about experience. Ambient lighting is a silent architect: it shapes mood, extends dwell time, and even alters how food tastes.
The right balance of light creates a space that feels psychologically uplifting, photograph-friendly, and naturally engaging. It’s what transforms a café from simply functional into a place people want to linger, converse, and return to.

For us, lighting is never an afterthought; it’s a non-negotiable principle that defines spatial comfort and operational flow.

A well-planned kitchen uses buffer zones and clear separations to eliminate cross-traffic. Even small spatial tweaks can make service faster, layouts calmer, and the overall environment more intentional, supporting better operations, wayfinding, and guest experiences.
