Some spaces are designed to be seen.

Others are designed to be felt.

At Fanusta, lighting is never treated as an afterthought. Every lamp, shadow, reflection, and warm corner is intentionally layered to shape the emotional atmosphere of a home. Because a space illuminated by a single harsh white light may still be visible… but it rarely feels alive.

Warm lighting creates depth. It softens textures, calms the mind, highlights materials beautifully, and turns ordinary evenings into experiences that feel intimate and lived in.

This reel is a reminder that good interiors are not only about furniture, colours, or decor.

They’re about how a space makes you feel the moment you walk in.

The right lighting doesn’t just brighten a room.

It gives the room its soul.

Most people spend weeks choosing the perfect wall colour. And then completely forget about the finish.

That one decision changes everything about how the room actually feels.

Matte keeps it calm and flat. No shine, just warmth. Personally my favourite for bedrooms and spaces where you want to truly switch off.

Eggshell has just a hint of shine to it. The most practical choice honestly, because you can actually wipe it clean. If you have kids, this one’s for you.
Satin makes the room look bigger. The way light bounces off it is just different. Perfect for smaller spaces that need to feel more open.

And Limewash is in a category of its own. It adds actual texture to the wall, has this raw, natural feel to it. The reason it’s everywhere in 2026 is because nothing else looks quite like it.

Same colour. Completely different room. Just because of the finish.

Which one are you going with?

A guest room that makes you never want to leave.

That’s honestly the brief we were working toward for this project in Pune. Not just a room for someone to sleep in. A space where someone feels genuinely taken care of.

The velvet headboard, the backlit wall behind it, the brass hardware on the wardrobes. None of these were random decisions. Every detail here was chosen to create that specific feeling of warmth, of being in a space that was designed with you in mind.

Because that’s what a guest room should do. It should make whoever walks in feel like the most important person in the house.

Most offices are designed to look professional. This one is being designed to feel like somewhere you actually want to work.

We’re currently on site at a corporate office in Jaipur, and this one has been one of the more interesting briefs we’ve worked on recently.

That curved conference hall taking shape in this carousel wasn’t just an aesthetic decision. A curved table changes how people sit around it, how they face each other, how a conversation flows. It’s a small thing that changes everything about how a meeting feels.

The arched corridor running through the space, the olive green panelling, the wood accents throughout. Every detail here is working toward the same idea that a well designed workplace isn’t a luxury. It’s what makes people actually want to show up.

Centuries before air conditioning existed, Rajasthan had already solved the heat problem.

Not with technology. With clay and a pattern.

Terracotta jalis have been cooling Indian spaces for longer than most modern materials have even existed. The geometry isn’t decorative, it’s functional. It breaks sunlight before it enters, and pulls air through in a way that a solid wall never could.

When we designed Euro International School here in Rajasthan, this felt like the only honest choice. A building full of children, sitting in 50 degree summers, needed more than just aesthetics. It needed to breathe.

So we wrapped the entire facade in terracotta jalis. The classrooms stay cooler, the glare stays out, and the building feels alive in a way that glass and concrete simply don’t.

And that’s the thing about great design. It doesn’t ask you to choose between beautiful and practical. It just gives you both.

What amazes us most is that nobody invented this. It was always here. We just had to pay attention.

Every wood has a personality. And most Indian homes are picking the wrong one.

Not because they have bad taste, but because nobody ever actually explained the difference.

• Teak is the bold one. That golden warmth it brings to a space just grounds everything around it.

• Walnut is moodier. Richer. The kind of wood that makes a room feel like it has a history.

• Oak is lighter, more relaxed. It breathes. Perfect for when you want calm without feeling cold.

• Sheesham has personality. Every single piece tells a completely different story.

• And Ash? Effortless. Still the most underrated wood we work with. Nobody talks about it enough.

The right wood doesn’t just fill a space. It defines how the entire room feels.

So tell me, which one feels like you?

This is honestly one of our favourite stages of any project.

Because right now, you can still see everything. The structure, the decisions, the intention — before it all gets covered up and finished.

That curved ceiling in the living room took us a while to get right. The concentric lines had to feel soft, not forced. The corridor has a coffered ceiling running all the way through, and if you look at the floor — the marble inlay pattern is already starting to show what this space is going to feel like when it’s done.

The olive green walls with the wood panelling — that colour took the longest to finalise. We went back and forth more times than we’d like to admit. But standing on site now, it was the right call.

And that wood slat ceiling wrapping into the wall — most people won’t even notice it when the project is complete. But they’ll feel it.

This is a residence in Sikar, Rajasthan. Still a few weeks away from completion. Swipe through and tell us — which detail are you most excited to see finished?

A well-designed room with bad lighting still feels wrong. Every single time.

Lighting isn’t the finishing touch — it’s the foundation everything else sits on.

And most homes are only getting half of it right.

Here’s what a fully lit space actually looks like.

Recessed spotlights handle the everyday — they keep the ceiling clean and the room functional without making a noise about it.

Cove lighting is the quiet one. Tucked into the ceiling, completely out of sight — but the mood it creates? That’s entirely it’s doing.

Pendants bring personality. They’re the ones that make a space feel designed rather than just furnished.

Sconces do something walls otherwise can’t — they make a flat surface feel alive. A well-placed sconce turns a corner into a moment.

And lamps — floor or table — they’re what make a room feel lived in. Warm. Human.

Layer all of these together and the room stops feeling like a space and starts feeling like somewhere you actually want to be.

That’s what good lighting does. It doesn’t just show the room — it makes you feel something in it.

What’s the one light source your home is missing?

She came to us with one line: “I want it to feel like a five-star hotel, but still feel like mine.”

That’s the kind of brief we love. Because it’s not really about luxury. It’s about a feeling. And feelings are built through details.

So we started with the walls. The decorative moulding panels give the room its structure..... that sense of something considered, something with history. Inside each panel, a botanical wallpaper that brings the outside in. Birds mid-flight, tropical leaves, a quiet sense of life moving through the room.

The vertical fluted feature strip breaks the symmetry just enough to keep it from feeling too formal. The concealed LED cove lighting does what good lighting always does..... you don’t notice it, you just notice that the room feels warm.

And the sketch overlaid on the raw site? That’s exactly how this project felt from day one. A clear vision, drawn over an empty space, waiting to become real.

This is a residence in Jaipur, currently nearing completion. Swipe to see the vision before the reality.

Looks like an ordinary drawer… until it isn’t.

Slide it open the usual way, and you see storage.
Lift it the right way, and suddenly… there’s a secret.

A hidden compartment, quietly tucked beneath the surface, made for what not everyone needs to see. No extra bulk. No broken aesthetics. Just pure, intentional design.

Ever walked into a space and felt something shift… but couldn’t quite explain why?

More often than not, it’s not the furniture. It’s the surfaces.

In this video, we take you through some of the most defining luxury designer tiles we use across our projects. From the clean, timeless appeal of subway tiles to the sharp, contemporary rhythm of Kit-Kat tiles… from the handcrafted character of Zellige and Moroccan tiles to the intricate detail of mosaic.

You’ll also see how terrazzo introduces a subtle playfulness, while concrete-look tiles ground a space with a modern, understated edge. Our 3D sculpted and fluted tiles add depth that changes beautifully with light throughout the day.

And then come the classics. Wooden tiles that bring in warmth and texture, and marble-look tiles that deliver effortless, timeless elegance.

For us, these aren’t just tile options. They’re design decisions. Each one shapes how a space feels, how light behaves, and how people experience it.

Because great interiors aren’t built only with furniture and décor. They’re crafted, layer by layer, starting with the surfaces.
