Argus | Jaipur

Standing prominently tall on an important arterial road of Jaipur, Argus is a successful expression of vertical living and sustainable design. The design of the tower responds fittingly to the 360-degree expansive views of the city and the hill ranges to the north and east, the philosophy of solar passive architecture and the design brief of luxurious terraced apartments in the sky.

The 64 luxury apartments are planned in a rotation around the central core of the building creating large voids for public and private terraces at multiple levels. These voids are at the core of the iconic character of the building, creating self-shading, introverted interaction and ventilation through the spaces.

We are happy to announce that our design for Center of Excellence - COA, Bengaluru was among the top 5 shortlisted entries!

https://maarchitects.in/ourprojects/center-of-excellence-coa/

‘CONVERGENCE : Intervening In’ . The design combined the architectural and the non architectural worlds and acted as a MERGER of both. A place for all. It was envisioned as a place that would not be defined by walls but would be shaped by the user interface and interactions that take place in and around the campus. The central design theme revolved around architecture being a SILENT profession which is focused on PROVIDING SHELTER for all, which helps in directing the lives of people inhabiting it, but here, at COA – Centre of Excellence, it would be the people who help shape the building. The site is a 2 Acre land with natural contours and plenty of existing trees and vegetation on site. The program proposed is to include an auditorium, an exhibition center, a learning center, a training center, offices, guest houses and dining.

2/3 INN WARDS - Chayan | Jaipur

Inn Wards is designed to offer a  unique home stay experience in the heart of Jaipur. Its meticulously designed amenities and suite rooms are intended to fulfil one’s requirements of space, privacy and homely comforts when travelling alone, with family or friends. The cluster of 8 individual apartments are designed to have their own identities, each character derived from the earth elements.

The  suites are designer homes and have artistic touches added by artisans from the Jaipur design and handicrafts fraternity. Their work  in painting, pottery, photography, textiles, jewelry, handicrafts, furniture and  interior design speaks of the city and its charming crafts.

The eclectic décor and furniture in the homestays have been custom designed and created to suit the character and function of the unit. While Avani and Omala demonstrate earth elements and Chayan the moon, Neal exemplifies the sun and sky, Soha the night sky and stars and Mrinal evokes qualities of water. Kanan speaks of a  forest setting and Dhwani creates the illusion of sound with its metallic ceiling and wood finishes.

1/3 Chandpole Mokshdham | Jaipur

This project takes a break from our regular practice to create an experiential design for a crematorium. The present scenario of the same reveals the condition of the space as derogatory. They are generally secluded, ignored and not maintained. The core objective in this project was to revive these spaces to act as a usable and meaningful extension to the public realm.

The “antim-sanskar” (the last rites) is the ultimate and the lengthiest Hindu ritual among the 16 Hindu sanskaras. The facility is designed with 5 Vedi’s along with two assembly halls and ritual spaces, all interconnected with walkways and indigenous greens. The design also incorporates a robust set of relief spaces for the user to express their emotions as they need to.

Taking inspiration from the traditional trabeated temple architecture of India, the design is a modern manifestation of the same. The facility is open to people from all castes and cultures making it an inclusive public space near the walled city of Jaipur.

1/3 Mahima Windchimes | Jaipur

This farmhouse project on the outskirts of Jaipur offers viable living options in greener and peaceful surroundings outside the busy city center. The design has farmhouses in varied configurations and amenities while being connected to an activity center at its core. The project follows a minimal architectural style and focuses more on the outdoor spaces such as gardens, walkways and ponds, utilizing indigenous plantations and local building materials in a contemporary way.
