MAPARANG a rare fruit originated from South East Asia, is an attractive yellow- reddish colour fruit that has the size and shape of an egg. They look like cluster of eggs hanging on a tree. The fruit has a mouth watering taste of mango and of mixed fruit tarts. The inner flesh is bright orange. After the initial crisp bite, it bursts into the soft consistency of the aqueous flesh.
An excellent source of vitamin C, fiber, and beta-carotene. The fruit also contains some calcium, iron, and phosphorous.
