Dendrobium's "Spatulata" is commonly known as "antelope orchids" because their twisted petals resemble the horns of antelopes. These orchids prefer medium to high light, but remember that too much light can bleach the leaves. Plastic pots can be used for planting, but clay pots are a better option as they allow for rapid drying and reduces risk of root rot.

These deep purple orchids appreciate average to high humidity, but in case you can't find this climate for your orchids, place the pot on a plate filled with water and pebbles.
