Why Hero Electric Bikes ?

1. Air pollution:
There is no vehicular emission. E-bikes do not pollute the city air. There is no requirement for an emission certificate.

2. Noise pollution:
E-bikes do not have an engine and so make no sound when running. So, there is no noise pollution, either.

3. Vibration:
E-bikes ride smoothly; there is no engine, and so there is no vibration.

4. Stability:
E-bikes are very stable because the weight of the batteries (which are centrally located, under the seat) pulls the center of gravity down. Many e-bikes also have a low seat; this increases the stability of riding.

5. Charging convenience:
E-bikes can be charged at one's convenience, at home. There is no need to stand in queues at a petrol filling station, bother about adding oil to the petrol (as in the case of scooters that run on a petrol-oil mixture), worry about receiving less petrol than what one has paid for, or get annoyed at being short-changed by the petrol station staff.

6. Batteries:
The batteries are sealed and maintenance-free. They do not need periodic topping up with distilled water. However, some vendors offer free servicing of these batteries during the warranty period.

Running expense is next to nil because electricity is cheap. The cost could be as little as 10 paise or less per kilometer.
The government, which subsidizes electricity, is subsidizing your running expenses!

7. Servicing and maintenance:
There are far fewer parts than a petrol scooter and so there is no need for periodic servicing of the vehicle. There is little to no maintenance necessary, except (as with any bike) for inflating the tyres when the pressure falls, or attending to minor necessities such tightening the brakes, and so on.
