What lessons can a city built on glass offer architecture students?

In Firozabad, glass is more than an industry; it shapes the city’s spaces, livelihoods, and identity. Together with Ethos Foundation | Arcause , we hosted a participatory design session with students from Dayalbagh Educational Institute, Agra.
The students watched glass move from the furnace to bangles, utensils, and objects the city has made for decades. The craft goes beyond the factory floor. It decides how families here earn, how their days are planned, and what skills get passed on to the next generation. The city did not simply take up glass. Glass gave the city its story.

At the Glass Museum site, currently under construction, our team walked them through the layout, the materials, and the detailing, and how that story has been moulded into a tangible architectural solution.
Grateful to the students for showing up curious, and to ethosarcause for making the day happen.

Behind every great space is a story of intent — and She Designs by WADE Asia was full of them.

We’re honoured that our Principal Architect, Ar. Rahul Jadon, was invited to serve as a Juror at She Designs by WADE Asia — a platform celebrating women-led development in architecture, art, design, and engineering, and the creators shaping the way we live, work, and gather.

Being on the jury wasn’t just about evaluating projects; it was about listening closely, engaging with bold ideas, and championing the voices behind each one. Days like these leave us energized, inspired, and even more committed to the work we do.

Thank you, WADE Asia, for the invitation, the conversations, and for giving these voices the spotlight they deserve.

Designing a hotel in the hills comes with a simple reminder: sometimes, the best thing a space can do is let its surroundings speak.

At Sanmala, we looked to Meghalaya’s rich tradition of handloom weaving as a starting point for the architecture. The rhythm, geometry and layered patterns of local textiles find their way into the façade through a repeating composition of patterned panels, creating a woven visual rhythm across the building.

The same language continues indoors through warm earthy tones, timber-inspired finishes, natural textures, patterned surfaces and warm lighting.

Together, these elements create a cohesive transition from the exterior to the interiors, while keeping the experience warm, understated and rooted in its context.

We asked them to get creative.
They took it a little too seriously. 😂✏️

How do you turn corporate values into a physical space?

For Grant Thornton, the goal was to blend professionalism with modern energy. The design focuses on four pillars: trust, innovation, collaboration, and professionalism.

Clean lines and glass walls create an open feel that represents transparency and trust.
Tech-ready zones are built into the layout to spark fresh, innovative ideas.

Traditional cubicles make way for open, high-energy hubs designed for teamwork.

The final result is a beautiful, highly functional workspace where teams thrive and clients feel welcome.

Thank you to Design Unfiltered for creating a platform where architects and designers could connect, share perspectives, and learn from one another.

We were proud to see our Principal Architect, Rahul Jadon, moderating a session filled with insightful conversations and fresh ideas.

Looking forward to many more dialogues that strengthen our design community and inspire better spaces.

Every workplace reflects the way people think.

For the yamaha Office, the challenge wasn’t just to design a functional workspace,it was to translate a philosophy.

Inspired by the Japanese belief of giving your mind and soul to everything you do, the space is envisioned as mechanical yet Zen—where precision meets peace, and structure finds balance.

Geometry becomes more than a design element; it becomes a language. From the reception ceiling to collaborative walls and the cafeteria, every line follows a sense of order and purpose. Natural materials ground each space, while seamless, quiet flooring and thoughtfully planned workstations create an environment that encourages focus without distraction.

Technology, collaboration, and functionality are integrated with intention, ensuring every element has a purpose.

The result is a workplace that doesn’t compete for attention—it quietly supports the people who create, think, and innovate within it.

A dynamic confluence of education and sustainable living, rooted in vernacular sensibilities.

Organized around a clear separation of private and communal spaces, the building’s spatial organization creates a vibrant “micro-campus” where students live, learn, and engage.

Residential clusters are arranged across the G+5 levels to ensure privacy, security, and comfort, while shared amenities such as the dining hall, recreation areas, gymnasium, and library are centralized for easy access and to encourage interaction.

The hostel is shaped around a network of movement and pauses, where corridors, interactive niches, and intermediate terraces extend into shared social spaces that nurture learning, interaction, and community living.

Envisioned as the project’s communal nucleus, the courtyard activates the in-between spaces with recreational facilities, terraced seating, and green interactive zones—promoting wellness, spontaneous encounters, and a lively neighborhoodculture where residents can live, play, and connect.

What, in your opinion, transforms a hostel from a place to stay into a place to belong? Comment your thoughts below.

Every campus begins with a vision.

This walkthrough explores a proposed institutional development where architecture, landscape, and movement come together to create a vibrant learning environment. From the masterplan to the built form, every space is designed with purpose.

Watch the vision unfold.

We are honoured to have been recognised at the Construction Excellence Awards 2026 by the Indian Concrete Institute, Lucknow Centre — in the category of Outstanding Contribution to Urban Rejuvenation, Infrastructure.

Urban rejuvenation is close to our heart. It is not just about building new structures, it is about giving cities a reason to breathe again. Every project in this space pushes us to think harder, design smarter, and care more deeply about the people who will live and move through these spaces every day.

This recognition belongs to every person on our team who showed up, put in the work, and believed that good design can genuinely change a city.

Honoured and grateful.
