Positioned along the edge of Vandiyur Lake, this residence is envisioned as an extension of its natural surroundings.

The residence opens towards the lake through carefully composed volumes, open sit-outs, and a layered, alive visual connection.

A defining feature of the residence is the master bedroom façade, designed with louvered perforation that filters light and breeze while maintaining uninterrupted views of the lake beyond. The interaction of shadow, texture, and openness creates a calm and intimate atmosphere within the space.

Beneath the dramatic sloping roof, the informal sit-out becomes a space for pause — a quiet corner to experience changing skies, evening breezes, and the timeless presence of the waterfront.

An architecture shaped by climate, context, and the beauty of living beside the lake.

Coco Farmhouse | A pause between the rush.

Coco Farmhouse is a 4000 sqft single-storey retreat set within 1.4 acres of untouched coconut farmland. Designed for a businessman seeking stillness in a fast-paced life, this home sits gently between the trees.

A natural 20-foot grid formed by the coconut trees guided the design, allowing architecture to grow with the land. The sloped roof responds to the site’s character, blending seamlessly into the landscape while welcoming soft eastern light into every space.

The House for Two Brothers

An ongoing residential project for Mr. Akash & Mr. Amrish, nestled in the serene landscape of the Cumbum Valley.

Designed as a contemporary home that harmonizes with its lush surroundings, the architecture integrates inward-looking elements such as courtyards and an internal water body, bringing nature into everyday living. The entry is subtly recessed, creating a deliberate pause—an architectural moment of arrival.

A sculpted concrete cube with slit perforations emerges as a bold façade element, balancing strong visual expression with privacy for the inhabitants. Cantilevered tapered slabs and metal C-sections introduce lightness and depth, while seamless corner glazing dissolves the boundary between interior and exterior spaces.

Anchored by white as the dominant canvas, and enriched with exposed concrete, rough stone, and warm wood finishes, the façade establishes a distinctive identity—transforming the house into a quiet yet powerful landmark within its locality.

Designed as an informal family gathering zone, the courtyard connects every corner of the house — visually and emotionally.

The projected bay window overlooks moments of play and pause, while the large living opening allows spaces to flow seamlessly into the green. The deck becomes a ritual space for morning coffees and evening conversations.

Above, the pergola casts a timeless dance of light and shadow — changing with every hour, yet always calm.

A home that celebrates family time, privacy, and connection, even amidst urban life.
