New York fed our souls and our stomachs—and honestly, I’m still thinking about half these meals in my sleep 🍔🥪🍪
Here’s a roundup of the absolute standouts from our NYC food tour, because good food deserves good praise 👇
🍪 Levain Bakery – 10/10
If heaven were a cookie, it’d be their warm, gooey chocolate chip walnut. Crispy on the outside, melty in the middle… I mean, how is this legal?? I would fly back just for one more bite.
☕ Maman – 9/10
Charming French vibes and the dreamiest lavender latte. It’s subtle, floral, and the kind of coffee you sip slowly while pretending you live in a novel. Bonus points for the decor and the cozy café feel.
🥪 Katz’s Delicatessen – 9.5/10
A New York institution and for good reason. The pastrami and corned beef sandwich is stacked with impossibly tender meat—juicy, smoky, and legendary. It might be the best thing I’ve eaten between two slices of bread.
🇮🇹 All’Antico Vinaio – 10/10
Believe the hype. This mortadella, stracciatella, and pistachio cream combo was a spiritual experience. The bread? Perfectly crusty. The flavors? Straight from Florence. Best Italian sandwich in the city—maybe even the world.
🍔 Black Iron Burger – 9.5/10
That beef patty was next-level. Juicy, flavorful, perfectly cooked—and the kind of burger that makes all other burgers feel like imposters. Casual spot, but seriously elevated taste.
🍝 MoMA Bistro – 8.5/10
Unexpected surprise! We grabbed lunch before exploring the exhibits, and the bolognese was rich, perfectly seasoned, and comforting. Museum food rarely hits like this.
🇮🇹 Water & Wheat (near The Met) – 7.5/10
A cozy little Italian spot tucked near the museum. Their lasagna was hearty, the cannoli sweet and satisfying. Nothing mind-blowing, but a lovely break between galleries.
