ਇੱਕ ਦਿਨ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰੇ ਗਏ…
ਉਥੇ ਬੈਠ ਕੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਸੁਣਿਆ…
“ਮਨ ਤੂੰ ਜੋਤ ਸਰੂਪ ਹੈ ਆਪਣਾ ਮੂਲ ਪਛਾਣ…”
ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਤੋਂ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਬਦਲ ਗਈ।
ਦੋਵੇਂ ਨੇ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਛਕਿਆ।
ਬਾਣਾ ਪਾਇਆ।
ਦੁਮਾਲਾ ਸਜਾਇਆ।
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਹੋ ਗਏ।

ਇਹ ਕਹਾਣੀ ਹੈ 38 ਸਾਲਾ ਮੀਨਾ ਅਤੇ 23 ਸਾਲਾ ਮੋਹਿਤ ਦੀ। ਮੀਨਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਜਿਹੇ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਕੱਲੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਸੀ। ਉਸਦੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਠਹਿਰਾਅ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਅਜੀਬ ਜਿਹਾ ਇਕੱਲਾਪਣ ਸੀ। ਘਰ ਦਾ ਖਰਚਾ ਚਲਾਉਣ ਅਤੇ ਇਕੱਲਾਪਣ ਦੂਰ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਉਸਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਕਿਰਾਏ 'ਤੇ ਦੇਣ ਦਾ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਕੁਝ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਬਾਅਦ, ਮੋਹਿਤ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਲੜਕਾ, ਜੋ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਕਰਨ ਆਇਆ ਸੀ, ਉਸਦੇ ਘਰ ਕਿਰਾਏਦਾਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਰਹਿਣ ਲੱਗਾ। ਮੋਹਿਤ ਸੁਭਾਅ ਦਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਸ਼ਾਂਤ, ਮਿਹਨਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਮਿਲਣਸਾਰ ਸੀ।
ਸ਼ੁਰੂ-ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੋਵਾਂ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਮਕਾਨ ਮਾਲਕਣ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਰਾਏਦਾਰ ਵਾਲਾ ਰਿਸ਼ਤਾ ਸੀ। ਪਰ ਹੌਲੀ-ਹੌਲੀ ਰੋਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਦੀ ਮੁਲਾਕਾਤ, ਸੁੱਖ-ਦੁੱਖ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਕਰਨੇ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ-ਦੂਜੇ ਦੀ ਪਰਵਾਹ ਕਰਨ ਨਾਲ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਿਸ਼ਤੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਿੱਘ ਆਉਣ ਲੱਗਾ। ਮੀਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਮੋਹਿਤ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਦੁਬਾਰਾ ਜਵਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਖੁਸ਼ਗਵਾਰ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਹੋਣ ਲੱਗੀ, ਜਦੋਂ ਕਿ ਮੋਹਿਤ ਨੂੰ ਮੀਨਾ ਦੀ ਸਮਝਦਾਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਭਾਅ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ।
ਉਮਰ ਦੇ 15 ਸਾਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਫਰਕ ਨੂੰ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਛੱਡਦਿਆਂ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਿਲ ਇੱਕ-ਦੂਜੇ ਦੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਨੇੜੇ ਆ ਗਏ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਇਸ ਰਿਸ਼ਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਲਗਾਵ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਆਸ-ਪਾਸ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗਾ ਤਾਂ ਕਈ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਹੋਣ ਲੱਗੀਆਂ। ਸਮਾਜ ਨੇ ਉਮਰ ਦੇ ਇਸ ਫਰਕ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਕਈ ਸਵਾਲ ਚੁੱਕੇ।
ਪਰ ਮੀਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਮੋਹਿਤ ਨੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਪਰਵਾਹ ਕੀਤੇ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਰਿਸ਼ਤੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਦਲਣ ਦਾ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ-ਦੂਜੇ ਦਾ ਹੱਥ ਫੜਨ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਆਹ ਦੇ ਬੰਧਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੱਝਣ ਦਾ ਅਹਿਮ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਸਭ ਨੂੰ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਇਹ ਕਹਾਣੀ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜਦੋਂ ਦੋ ਦਿਲ ਸੱਚੇ ਹੋਣ, ਤਾਂ ਉਮਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਰਹੱਦਾਂ ਕੋਈ ਮਾਇਨੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਰੱਖਦੀਆਂ।

* **ਦਿੱਲੀ ਆਗਮਨ ਅਤੇ ਬੰਗਲਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦਾ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ:** ਮੁਗਲ ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹ ਔਰੰਗਜ਼ੇਬ ਦੇ ਬੁਲਾਵੇ 'ਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਰਾਜਾ ਜੈ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੇ ਬੰਗਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਠਹਿਰੇ। ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਪੂਰੀ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੇਚਕ (ਸਮਾਲ ਪੌਕਸ) ਅਤੇ ਹੈਜ਼ੇ ਦੀ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਮਹਾਂਮਾਰੀ ਫੈਲੀ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ। ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਜਾਤ-ਪਾਤ ਅਤੇ ਧਰਮ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਭੇਦਭਾਵ ਕੀਤੇ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਦਿਨ-ਰਾਤ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਨੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਅੱਜ ਉਸੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਅਸਥਾਨ 'ਤੇ 'ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਬੰਗਲਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ' ਸੁਸ਼ੋਭਿਤ ਹੈ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਬਣੇ ਸਰੋਵਰ ਦਾ ਜਲ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਸਮਾਨ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
* **ਪਰਉਪਕਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਮਹਾਨ ਕੁਰਬਾਨੀ:** ਮਹਾਂਮਾਰੀ ਦੇ ਪੀੜਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਦੇ-ਕਰਦੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਨੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਰ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਉਹ ਬੀਮਾਰੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਰੀਰ 'ਤੇ ਲੈ ਲਈ। ਉਹ ਖੁਦ ਚੇਚਕ ਦੀ ਲਪੇਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਆ ਗਏ। ਆਪਣੀ ਅੰਤਿਮ ਘੜੀ ਨੇੜੇ ਦੇਖ ਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸੰਗਤ ਨੂੰ ਧੀਰਜ ਰੱਖਣ ਲਈ ਕਿਹਾ ਅਤੇ ਕੇਵਲ 8 ਸਾਲ ਦੀ ਉਮਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੰਨ 1664 ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਵਿਖੇ ਜੋਤੀ-ਜੋਤ ਸਮਾ ਗਏ। ਜਮੁਨਾ ਨਦੀ ਦੇ ਕੰਢੇ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਸਕਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ, ਉੱਥੇ ਅੱਜ 'ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਬਾਲਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ' ਬਣਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।
