Growing varieties of COLORFUL SUNFLOWERS | Red, Brown, Teddy, Miniature 🌻

Varieties of sunflowers i have grown in my garden from seeds over the years! They are easy to grow in ground and pots both.
For smaller pots, miniature sunflowers are a great choice.
They come in yellow, red, brown, chocolate, bicolor, lemon and white varieties.
Sunflower make great cut flowers, which is the reason for their current popularity!

Harvesting BEETROOT from my kitchen garden | Seed grown organic beetroot at home! 🫜

Beetroot is really easy to grow from seeds. Sow seeds thinly and plant wach month for a continuous supply. The leaves are also edible and a great addition to salads and smoothies.
Beetroot itself os packed with nutrients and there’s nothing like fresh organic harvest from your home garden.
You can also grow beetroot in pots or grow bags easily in your balcony.

Put those small pots to good use and plant 2 beetroot seeds in each!

I bought DAHLIA seeds from Meesho, did they germinate? Let’s compare! 🪴

Meesho is a great app for treasure hunting deals on all stuff and lately i have been hooked to the garden supplies section. I found these dahlia seeds being sold with a decent rating and decided to check the quality myself.
This particular batch of Dahlia seeds from meesho was disappointing as compared to another brand that i buy from regularly.
Now meesho is just a platform for many individual sellers so all products and seeds may not be the same quality. Do your research before buying.
I am sowing DAHLIA FLOWER SEEDS from two online sources in egg trays to find out how they perform against each other.
Biocarve seeds as always, do not disappoint!

Also, from any plant source, be wary of very low prices of seeds and bulbs. They may not give you good germination rate and end up being costlier instead! Invest in fresh seeds and bulbs always.

Preparing a plastic pot for planting seeds/ bulbs or plants 🪴

Light soil and drainage are two essential factors that decide how a plant grows in a plastic pot. Standing water along with non-porous plastic kills plants roots faster than anything else!

How to plant correctly in a plastic planter?
Use good well draining soil that comes from nursery plants.
Poke holes using a hot knife.
Cover drainage holes with a pebble.
Use cocopeat.
